      I got a job offer and was told the company uses HireRight to do background check. I submitted all my information and was told it would be 48 hours until my case was resolved. It has been past 48 hours. I have spend hours on the phone trying to get movement on my case and nothing has happened. I cannot quit my current job because I am waiting on HireRight. I was honest and submitted all the information requested and there has been zero action on their end. This is peoples jobs and livelihood and it is not ok to procrastinate with this type of important information. No one is able to give me answers about what is taking so long. They just keep telling me to wait longer. I have never had a background check take so long. I just want answers and a resolution. I will provide ANYTHING THEY NEED to clear me. No one can give me answers just keep telling me to keep waiting. Quit giving me the run around and please complete the task

      I was offered employment by ******** of Southern California on 10/29/24 and signed all authorizations and disclosures. My employer told me that this is usually a three day process. Giving the benefit of the doubt I waited until the 4th business day. I reached out on 11/4/24 and was told the report was 67% complete and it was held up by Marengo County *******. Having lived there for 5 years and knowing people there I can personally say that its a smaller county and they still personally answer the phone and wait times in person are almost none or no more than 15 minutes. I called the courthouse on 11/4/24 and was told no request has been received and they respond to emails and faxes within two hours and they respond to in person requests in under ***** minutes.I waited an extra two days and reached back out to HireRight on 11/6/24 who says once again the same thing, it is held up by one county. ****, one of their agents I spoke with on live chat said around 8:35AM PST they have vendors that are responsible for gathering the information from the courthouse. I once again called the courthouse today to inquire as to whether or not they were experiencing any delays they informed me no, that the election yesterday had the courthouse busy but their office has been quiet this week. There has been no request or inquiry in person, by fax, or by email. I find it very frustrating that these companies are paid very well for their services and then get to hide behind their vendors not performing. If I, an individual with zero experience can make the inquiry in less than 15 minutes I find it very improbable a company with their resources can not make the same inquiry in 6 business ******* I am not the only complaint about the time and delays involved it certainly paints a picture that the company is not performing their job very well.

      The company I was offered employment with uses this company for background checks. I submitted all required information. Every day, late at night I get a message that there's a new 'issue' with my application. These 'issues' can be solved with a quick ****** search. I believe Hire Right is purposely delaying my background check. This has been the longest it has ever taken for me to have one completed, and they are also questionable requesting additional information that has either already been explained, provided, or is not relevant to my background. I'm wondering if they get paid more money for taking longer? I've submitted all of the information was required, and then some. Please complete my background check efficiently with the information you have, otherwise I consider your lack of urgency as retaliation for me expressing my concern over your request for personal information that had already been submitted.

      I started my background check 9/10/2024 and I've been delayed 4 times. I'm not able to work and losing oil field money because they keep delaying me. I have a wife and 2 kids. When I call hireright they tell me that they are waiting on my local court house and claim they have a team working on it. I've been down to the lclocal court house and they claim that hireright hasn't reached out. I've had 3 background checks done in. A matter on 5 minutes a piece by the court house since the beginning of this joke of a company. I've also gone above the local court house and had national background check done and cleared in 5 minutes. My employer keeps calling me saying hireright is waiting on me. Just sad to see a "professional" company not be able to do their job efficiently.

      I submitted all of my documents for my HireRight background check on 10/14, but now it's 10/23 and they still haven't sent in my background request to the county court. I've spoken to customer service multiple times about why a simple criminal background check is taking forever but none of the representatives know what is going on and have no solution. I then spoke directly to the county court and they told me that they finish background requests within 48 hours, except HireRight hasn't even sent them a request for my background search in the first place. I'm about to lose my job because HireRight just isn't doing their part.

      My background was submitted on 09-17-2024 with my background check being 91% complete. This company keeps stating they are waiting on a reply from the county yet the county has already said nothing has been submitted. It is frustrating because this company does not want to hear you out. The county cannot reply to something they are saying they havent received. This has caused my start date to be delayed twice and going on three delays. Ive contacted this company multiple times in the past week to get this resolved. My girlfriend has lived in the same counties and has had the same background check with this company and hers was turned around in a few days. They have no legit reason as to whats the hold up just given the run around every time.

      ***************** gave me a job offer in June 2024 with a start date for September 9, 2024. My background check was submitted to HireRite July 27, 2024. It is now October 7, 2024 and ***************** still has not received my completed background check. HireRite claims that my background check is being held up by Ottawa County court records as the switch over to a new electronic filing system. I called ************************ today to inquire about this. They told me this is all false information. They have been up to date with the electronic filing system for months. They also told me Im one of many who have called with the same problem from HiteRite and that I should report HireRite to Michigan Medicine and the BBB for fraudulent activity. I cannot start my job because of them, even though I had another background check ran through MSP and was cleared. Im dealing with lost wages and possibly losing insurance for myself and my family! I have 3 children who depend on this, including a 7 year old diabetic son!

      I was offered a job on the spot contingent on of course a background and drug screen. It's 10/2/2024 and I am still waiting on my background check to clear. I have reached out several times via chat and phone and even spoke with a supervisor. The employer has requested to expedite it twice now which is supposed to take 2 calendar days but clearly that's a lie. They keep saying it's *************** that they are waiting on. I've called *************** several times it's not them. now I'm without a job until this clears.       It should not have taken me reaching out to bbb to make you guys get the job done. As of this past Friday it's finally complete but at this point I don't even know if the company moved on to the next candidate due to the long wait

      Ive submitted my background report on 9/11. Its 9/25 and a simple criminal check is still not completed from Hireright. My start date for my new job is 10/4. I cannot start my job until this report is complete. This isnt a federal background check. This is absolutely ridiculous. I get the same run around every time I call, yet I can probably go to the court and get my records in a couple hours. Unbelievable.

      My background check was requested on September 19 but has not been received by the court. I called the court and was informed that they have not received a background check request. Hireright shows that the status is waiting for reply but the court has not received it so they can not respond to the request. The background check is taking normal than usual with an expected completion of October 7. My record is clear and the only thing I am waiting on is hireright to send and receive my background from the court as they have not received it and it is immediately sent back once it is received by the court. I am requesting my background check to be expedited so that this background check from hireright will not continuously be delayed and delay me working.
