Yesterday I received a collection letter from Wakefield and Associates, stating I owed $70.19 to *************************** of ********** *** DBA US Digestive ****** When I called Wakefield, I was told this was for Date of Service 1/15/2024. When I reviewed my EOB from my insurance company it showed a member responsibility of $0 as I had a screening colonoscopy which is covered at 100% as preventive - no member (me) responsibility. When I called US Digestive Health's billing department, I was transferred to their medical billing Vendor IKS Health. IKS Health never sent me an invoice stating I owed money on my account. I was never notified of this balance AND my insurance company is stating that they paid US Digestive Health and I owed nothing for Date of Service 1/15/2024. I have lodged a complaint with the ** doctor's ****** as ************** is their 3rd party billing company vendor. I need a written explanation that states 1. I do not owe any money for Date of Service 1/15/2024 2. Why was I never contacted to let me know I had a balance on my account 3. Why was the collection agency notified that my balance is for date of service 1/15/2024 4. IKS Health needs to notify Wakefield and Associates the correct Date of Service for the $70.19 that I supposedly owe
