Refused to do an exchange or refund unless had receipt of service. I located receipts. Still won't do exchange for a diamond I purchased. Since locating receipts I got diamond appraised. I paid ******* cash and appraisal says diamond is only worth ******* A diamond holds its value. I contacted business multiple times multiple ways trying to return ring or exchange for jewelry thatwould be equal to the price I have already pre paid for. They have done nothing to resolve the problem. I was scammed because I'm not a diamond expert. I am willing g to do an exchange or refund. But something that gets me what I paid for ******* is alot of mo ey for something only equal to ******* I told them I will be taking them to court if it's not resolved soon. Please help me to avoid litigation and resolve this simply. I've read there yelp reviews since. They have a poor reputation. I am now a single mother, my husband stole my car. Getting money or just due would be such a blessing. Thank you.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/30) */ All of the statements regarding our business in this review are FALSE and the reviewer has not shown us any receipts or other evidence that supports her alleged purchase from our store or any of the other claims that she has made in her review. According to California Civil Code Section 43 and 44(a), this review is defamatory and the reviewer as well as any entity that publishes this review to a third party is legally liable for damages. The reviewer's complaint contains false allegations "injurous to our trade, business, and profession" which are not only DEFAMATORY but are also categorized as LIBEL that is recognized by law as DEFAMATORY PER SE which the law dictates is presumed to cause damages that do not need to be proven. False reviews such as this are very damaging to our small family-run business and we appreciate that you are taking the time to confirm the accuracy of the claims. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/03/26) */ ***Document Attached*** Sorry for the delay I was not aware a response was given. Please notice the date of the email I've attached. Also my receipts which the business was provided back in dec 15th 2021. Theyve yet to respond to the email or call. I went in person in November. Located my receipts in December. December 15th sent them images and an email BEFORE complaining to the BBB. Giving the company time to respond in person in november and anytime since December 15th when I emailed them. They have yet to respond but to threaten me via there response on this website. The issue is I am also a small business owner. A single mother going thru a divorce that involved domestic violence. I learned since my seperation that my diamond I bought thru this company is only worth $*****. This was thru an appraisal from a reputable company in the same jewelry district as Roma. However you can clearly see through my receipts that I spent nearly $****** on a diamond with this company. Diamonds hold their value. They took advantage of the fact I had cash and did not know the 3 C's of diamonds.they gave me a ****** diamond that's only worth $***** when I came with $****** in cash. That's bad business. Then when I came in person taking the bus downtown with my 3 year old They refused to locate my receipt for proof that I was a customer. Something they didn't say would be a requirement over the phone. She literally refused to for my receipt!!!! After I took a bus from the valley with my 3 year old. And called her earlier that day to make sure she would work with me and not waste my time! I have given them 5 months to come up with a solution. Either give me the difference back in cash, in store trade in jewelry totaling the $****** I spent or to see them in Court. This is easily provable with the appraisal and receipts that you ripped me off. You sold me a ** stone for *** and said I could always come back and trade it in for an upgrade with adding more cash. This is just how you scam people. Plus ur receipts say exchange only. That's fine I'll do an exchange then since I spent *** I'd like an even exchange for *** in jewelry. Ur receipts give no deadline for exchange time line or any other obligations to meet. Consider this the last chance to make this situation right out side of court. Do not threaten with defamation. You should look at ur yelp reviews and work on ur business instead of threatening me with libel and slander. Many patrons have complaints regarding ur business. Ur defaming ur own business when you refuse to go find a receipt for a customer lying saying you don't keep records. Or that their not digital. Well your in luck I have my receipts you sent me home to find. Thank you in advance for making this right Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/04/11) */ The January 28, 2017 receipt that the consumer has submitted and alleges is from our store actually proves that the consumer's statements are fraudulent because it shows that the total of the purchase was $***** instead of the $****** that the consumer has been claiming that she paid. If the consumer does not cease and desist from harassing, threatening, and defaming our business we will have no choice but to obtain a restraining order and file a harassment and defamation complaint against her.
