Hello *******, your job was completed on June 28th, 2024 and you gave a call to ****** until July 19th, 2024 informing her regarding your lamp and couch, she offered you a fair amount even though the damages did not occur while our movers were at the job site but you rejected our offer wanting more. The couch was wrapped at the beginning of the job and was taken upstairs with the plastic on. The couch was never unwrapped by our movers as you did not want them too because you were ******* our movers to finish because you stated to our movers that our service was too expensive. Regarding the lamp, the lamp was in one of the heavy boxes that were packed by yourself, due to all the pressure within the box it could have broken then. Unfortunately we are unable to refund you for the move due to having to cover for the expenses to complete your service.

First of all ****** , you have replied like you did not write it , Your the Owner of the company. The reason why I did not contact you sooner is because i did not get to the living room for several days nor did I even sit in there I have a 3 Story home I concentrated on bedrooms and bathrooms , work and sleep. I did not complain about the time or money . You did every 4 hours demanding me to pay for another 4 You said you want to stay on phone until it was paid , through the email you sent 3 different times you called on the dot not at the end of the job as you stated in your reply I have proof and it will be presented in a court of law if need be . The movers set up my bed and took off the plastic on the couch which is super heavy I could not do it alone And remove plastic from underneath . The feet had been taken off the couch was on floor with no feet so they had to do it .  It was cut by there sharp blade they used to cut the plastic when they put it on . The couch is full of scratches as well . I never received a insurance claim form . ****** , you offered 50 .00 I said yes on that I said ****** for the damage couch you said no . I value my belongings I paid ******* for my custom couch . Everyone should know you damage you will not pay for your wrong doing. This is causing much stress Im now asking to settle in the amount I paid you ******* In a court it will be what you charged me an hour from the day I filed with BBB  .

Hello *******, allow me to introduce myself. My name is ******* and I am in charge of the claims department and I am the one responding to the claim. Now, you mentioned it took you several days to contact our project manager but it was not several days it was at least three weeks until you contacted our office and we are not saying you are being untruthful but this does make us cast doubt on your accusation of us damaging your couch. As a customer it is your responsibility to conduct a last walk to inspect and assure that everything was done in order. Regarding payment, unfortunately due to our policies we do have to collect payment once we receive a time from our movers when they believe they will complete the service in order to avoid wasting time by going back and forth with clients. Once again, the couch was wrapped at the beginning of the job and was taken upstairs with the plastic on. The couch was never unwrapped by our movers as you did not want them too because you were ******* our movers to finish because you stated to our movers that our service was too expensive. The insurance claim form was not sent to you because you wanted a certain amount given to you. Our insurance would first need to weigh your couch as it covers 80 cents per pound. Say the couch weighs about 200 pounds then the insurance would cover $160. As a courtesy we can offer you $200 maximum. We apologize you are feeling stressed but we are unable to refund you the full service as we do have to cover for the expenses that made your move possible to be completed. We understand you are frustrated but wanting a full refund for a service that was in fact completed is an act of stealing of service.

I am rejecting this response because:

      ****** and *******,

******* , thank you for identifying yourself for the insurance company , what is the name of the insurance provider ? Yes , I mentioned it took several days the movers left my couch on its back I could not put it down to a seating position , its super heavy , I believe they left it like that so I would not see the blade cut , I didnt noticed they left it that way . It was late night , a long day of moving and the last thing I did was tell the guys to hold on when they were already walking to there truck I went in my purse and gave all three a tip of $ ***** each . I had to wait for someone to come to my home to set it on the ground to the seating position. I glanced at it saw a lot of white marks and thought to myself no big deal I can clean it , to my surprise its not that easy than I saw the slit same minute I contacted ****** .
If you sit on the couch the slit will expand so it has not been sat on . My couch has lost years of life its a matter of time because it has been slit .You are also saying that Im lying that it was wrapped , your movers wrapped my couch and many other things they cut the plastic with there blade and the tape . I live a very busy life I got to it when I did I dont need to explain that . My items should not have been damaged nor anyones , Its not ok .About the payment again as you said it was not at the end of the move it was on the dot every four hours .the movers never called ****** , she called the movers . I dont need your money for just because I have my own money although there has been damage to My Couch and Lamp , the life of my couch has been lost and your devaluing my belongings.   I will except$300 .00 for my Couch and the $50.00 for the Lamp as ****** has agreed on . My couch has its days  limited.

      Thank You , *******

Hello *******, we understand if you did not take a look at it the same night but once again as a customer it is your responsibility to conduct a last walk at least 24 hours after the move to inspect and assure that everything was done in order. We never said you are lying about the couch being wrapped. As I mentioned before, the couch was wrapped at the beginning of the job and was taken upstairs with the plastic on. The couch was never unwrapped by our movers as you did not want them too because you were ******* our movers to finish. We understand you are busy and we certainly do not need an explanation and we agree that no one's furniture including yours should not be damaged but unfortunately your lamp was damaged due to the lamp being in one of the heavy boxes that was packed by yourself, due to all the pressure within the box it could have broken then. Regarding your couch, we received and took a look over the photos that you provided us and by the looks of it, the cause of the rip does not seem to be due to a cut but because of the useness of the leather. As ****** mentioned to you the day you contacted her, we can have someone who is an expert with leather to confirm the cause of your damaged couch as this is not the first time we have seen this sort of inconvenience. Once again, our policies have changed as we do have to collect payment once we receive a time from our movers when they believe they will complete the service in order to avoid wasting time by going back and forth with clients. Lastly, although we are aware that the damages were not caused by us, we are still offering you the $200 courtesy.

      MESSAGE FROM CONSUMER:

      ******,

It is your responsibility as the business owner to make sure no items are damaged. No one should ever use a blade to cut plastic off a couch. You keep insisting your movers did not wrap my couch and other things.  You're the moving company, why would I do it? I cant even move the couch. You continue denying the actions of the movers. I know they did not intentionally damage my items. I understand you dont want to take responsibility but it happened. If I was so worried about the money why would I give them 20$ each? Makes no sense. Why have you not given me the insurance information as I asked? Again, about payment, you called every 4 hours interrupting the move for another payment, not at the end. Everyone whom is looking for a moving company needs to avoid your company. You deny responsibility of others' property if damaged. I believe the Attorney General of CA, DCA & BHGS needs to know about your unhealthy actions as a business. I believe I deserve what I paid for my couch. I was being fair, $300.00 for the damaged couch and ***** for my broken lamp. There were also many loose items. The lamp could've been one of them. I barely unboxed anything. I recall just seeing it in a room.  I believe I deserve the total amount I paid you, $1,977.60. My couch is ruined.

I am requesting Arbitration for further assistance.

On March 30th I was quoted ***** for my studio apartment move from Walnut Creek CA to Irvine,CA with one week of storage. On the day the movers arrived to pickup from Walnut Creek they claimed that I had exceeded my space allowance and that I would incur additional fees. However, my belongings listed at the time the quote was provided was exactly what was present at the day of the move. I was a victim of bait and switch because I was quoted ***** and ended up paying over ****** I would like this company to be held accountable for the original quote price and I would like to be refunded for the difference. My quote and bill of landing paperwork are provided below.
