I bought a $716 wedding top a month before my wedding from Cult Gaia. When the item arrived it started fraying almost immediately. Within 4 days of arriving, every edge on the top was frayed. When I reached out to support it took 2-3 weeks (5 emails back and forth with many days before I got a response from them). When I didnt get a response to my 4th email my wedding day had almost arrived, so I called a physical store (a flagship store in **) and they got customer support to follow up with me within a couple of hours. But after all that back and forth of them asking for me to send them photos of the top and describe the issue in detail, the last email to me said we cant help you, fraying is expected for this style. To be clear: nowhere on their webpage where I added the item to my cart was it mentioned fraying was expected with this style, nor was there fraying in any of the advertised photosI took plenty of screenshots for evidence in case any issues came up in the charge back process. Cult Gaia may have beautiful clothes, but they are a terribly managed company that you shouldnt trust if youre looking for a seamless customer experience. Return policy ***** / non existent!I bought a clutch from them for my wifes birthday. Turns out Cult Gaia isnt her style. I went to return the bag but the most theyll give me is store credit, no cash refund.I dont think its that much to ask for a refund for a product youre giving back thats untouched, in the box and bag with tags etc. its standard practice and good customer service.Not offering a refund for a perfectly good return is bad customer service and frankly ridiculous.Review from Mely R.

I purchased a good amount of clothing 2/25. I didn't realized one dress had a snag that eventually will become a whole in the back of the red dress. I guess they don't have a manager today and the two people there didn't even care to help. The first employee said there was nothing there. Really?. I explained I had unforeseen situations come up. Again they didn't care. As matter of fact the second employee walked away as I was saying they lost a customer. At this store they will pretend to be nice to make the sale but when it comes to customer service forget it. They are not very well trained in customer service. You are better of buying from Nordstrom if you like this brand. They do know customer service!Review from Stephanie F

TL;DR I bought a $1200 gown from Cult Gaia and it is very poorly made and a disappointment.
For context, I bought the dress last minute and as a splurge. So I did not receive the dress until the evening of event.
* The chest area has no support for the chest whatsoever. Given the ring design, there aren't alot of modifications you can use to make it work. The dress has design elements to hold them up. No support whatsoever, the upper part of the dress is designed to lay flat just like two pieces of fabric. I was lucky enough that I did have tape and sticky bras on hand that allowed it to work for a very short night.
* I love the low back design but silk is heavy. You must know that. and to be fair my waist is naturally smaller than my hips but I have been a size medium for years. The weight of the dress dragged down the back of the dress so much that I just barely got away without showing the top of my **** crack. Wearing underwear was out of the question, which is difficult becauseof the next point.
* Because the back of the dress is very low and weighed down so much, it drags down the entire dress to the point the open back fell to my hips and not my waist, so I was unable to wear underwear, and yet there is a very awkward high split, but in the middle of the dress. I love a good split but the middle of the dress made underwear preferred (for a work event) that combined with the other issues makes it practically unwearable.
There are several design flaws which is unacceptable for a $1200 dress.
I did a quick search online and discovered: many cult gaia items are poorly rated, and this particular dress had 2 stars on revolve (for the same reason) and sold so very poorly that there as some that sold for $150.
Cult Gaia has refused to help.

Hello,
I am a first time customer. I purchased two items from their website that said final sale. Both had sizing descriptions since you can not try on. One said true to size so I ordered my true size but it is 3 sizes too small in the bust so the sizing description was wrong. I thought easy fix, I just call or email the company and they can send me a size small instead of XS. I have emailed and called a bunch of times and could not get ahold of anyone. When I finally got ahold of someone, they kept copying and pasting the same thing and not answering my question if I can return this dress and they told me I cannot exchange for another size. I even messaged their instagram and no one will respond. Your clothes can be cute but if you want to grow a brand, customers need to be taken care of. Shame on you.

The Serita dress fits perfect, I ordered one size larger because the website recommended it.
For the Aziza dress, The website said true to size which is untrue, I need a bigger size and no one will help me. I have been trying for over 3 weeks to get ahold of someone.

Their shoes are beautiful but completely unwearable. I wore mine for 10 minutes and had to take them off because of the pain. I contacted the company about the design flaw (others on the Saks Fifth Ave website also said they were unwearable) and they basically said "too bad." They would not take them back or refund my money. Cult Gaia does not stand behind their product and does not care about their customers. AVOID this company.Cult Gaia Response
