My wife was walking around the Great Mall in ******** ********** when she was lured and pressured into buying something she did not really want. This took place on Tuesday September 3, 2024. I did not know about the purchase until September 8, ****************************************************** distraught of what happened. When she finally told me, I was myself in disbelief and extremely angry at these sales **** taking advantage of my wife who already deals with depression and anxiety. Long story short, she was pressured into paying a total of $***** worth of creams and an electronic device that supposedly cures aches and pains. It looks like my wife is not the only victim because I have read the same complaints from several others. The sales **** for Esthetix Spa are like predators looking for someone who will easily submit and give in even though they cannot afford it. So because of this situation, We are now in $10,000 deeper debt. Now my wife and I have anxiety, stress, and depression that just got worse thanks to this company refusing to give us a refund. Please help us with this issue, since I the husband am the sole income provider. I have 3 other family members who depend on me. My wife, daughter, and grand-daughter. I am hoping to get a full refund or at least have this ridiculous debt reduced drastically. Any assistance would be much, much, much appreciated. 05/26/2024 I was cornered into a room for two hours until I was peer pressured into buying their products. They had me open up a loan withcherry.com and once I paid, I asked if there would be any way of backing out and cancelling the loan. They said no, when afterwards I checked on the website of the loan agreement to see that it was possible. They saw that I was vulnerable and pressured me into their products. They would point out insecurities to help pressure you into buying the products. I talked to a worker named ***** who is supposedly one of the higher *** that work with the *** clients, but no last name was provided to do further research of credentials. I would like to back out of the loan and receive a refund of any purchases. None of my products have been opened.Initial Complaint

Dear BBB,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Esthetix, a company notorious for engaging in unethical business practices, particularly concerning the sale of fraudulent products & exploitative tactics targeting vulnerable populations.My complaint is multifaceted, encompassing the following egregious issues:1. Sale of Counterfeit Products: Esthetix has been selling LED ****************** creams w/ dubious claims of effectiveness. Upon closer examination, these products have been found to be of extremely poor quality, failing to deliver the promised results & potentially endangering consumers' health.2. Targeting Vulnerable Individuals: The company's predatory tactics are particularly concerning. They target elderly individuals who may have limited proficiency in English. By taking advantage of language barriers & manipulating vulnerable consumers, Esthetix preys upon those who are less equipped to discern the legitimacy of their products and practices.3. Unfair Payment Practices: Esthetix employs unfair payment plans that effectively trap consumers into long-term contracts with exorbitant costs. Many consumers have reported being coerced into signing contracts without full comprehension of the terms. Moreover, the company adamantly refuses to provide refunds, leaving consumers financially burdened with products that are ineffective or potentially harmful.The refusal to provide refunds further exacerbates the harm inflicted upon consumers by Esthetix.This blatant disregard for consumer rights is unacceptable and warrants immediate intervention.I implore the BBB to conduct a thorough investigation into Esthetix & take decisive action to rectify these issues. Consumers deserve protection from unscrupulous businesses like Esthetix, and it's imperative that regulatory bodies such as the BBB hold them accountable for their actions.Please inform me of the steps being taken to address this. This business does not have a valid business license. First, the manager told us the business license was in the back. When asked to see the license, they then told us that the owner had the business license. We searched up their business and could not find any proof of a valid license. They are selling thousands of dollars of products without a valid business license. They sold us $5000 worth of products, but when we wanted to return it, they refused to give a full refund on unopened, unused products and argued with us. They were unclear on their return policy and refused to solve the issue.
