************* was subcontracted by ***** Warranty Program on January 16, 2024 to repair our Genie (Screw Drive) Garage Opener. Once the opener was determined to be replaced the Technician purchased a replacement unit and removed our old unit without consulting us and leaving it on our front lawn. Once we realized that the new unit was a *********** (Chain Drive) and not the same like for like or same functionality, we asked the Tech to find another unit more comparable to the one we had. Tech got angry then refused to reinstall our old opener and left our unit on the front lawn and said he had another job to go to. After speaking to many of ***** Warranty members for days we finally spoke to a manager. The Manager arranged a 3 way call to discuss how to resolve the matter. As a result of the 3 way call, we all agree on Genie (Belt Drive) Opener as a S**** Drive is no longer available in **********-with an installed date of January 29, 2024. At the end of the call, we ask the Tech to confirm the replacement unit model number and again he got angry and ask *****' manager to remove him from this job. As of today our Genie Garage Opener is still on the ground and this job has not been complete,Business response

My name is ***************************** DBA KI Industry. This is an owner operator company. On January 16 I was at that property. I'm a service provider contractor for Cinch Home Warranty. After receiving work order I have to schedule appointment, diagnose the problem, report to insurance company and if they authorized repair or replacement complete the job. After getting authorization I purchased new opener similar to existing(1/2 ************* removed old and installed new opener .What was accepted by plan holders husband. Job was completed about 80% she came out from home first time and started searching for deferent openers and asking questions. After some time I offered them to buy any other opener of there choice and I will install it and left the property.
Because Job was approved for replacement ***************** offered them Cash Out. Approved by customer. Which includes New garage door opener, removal of old opener and installation(labor) by HOME OWNER.
So Job was completed.
Plan Holder Have a contract with the BEST Homeowners Warranty Company.
I use to provide service for deferent warranty companies almost 20 years. Some customers demanding more, and no meter How hard You try they complain. Even if You spend Your time and other expenses and not get paid.
