The management and owners at the Orleans Market in Orleans, CA are very rude to the community and upcharge the merchandise daily. They scan in the items when they feel like it, otherwise they manually enter and charge what they want to charge which is more than what it would have been charge if they scanned it in. I have tested this theory and it is true. Today, I went in and I was charge $2.99 (price manually entered, not scanned) for a bag of Lay's Barbecue chips which clearly is marked for $2.29. They do this all the time. They charge a $0.50 fee for credit/debit card transactions, which they do have a sign stating so. The problem is that they are charging tax on the $.0.50 fee. I asked today why I am being charged tax for items that are non-taxable and I was told to not **** him off and he started yelling at me. There is a lot of fraud happening at this store, and has been for awhile. The owners come and go and it depends on which owner we get on how the store is managed that day. This is the only store in our community and they know this, so they get away with more than they should. They also refuse to give out a detailed receipt. We only get a credit card receipt if we use a credit/debit card that is not detailed. The store is dirty as well. I would like this to be resolved.
