I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator from Roberto's Appliance in Oxnard on 7/10/24 for $700 plus $100 for delivery. He stamped the receipt upon delivery with a Limited 30 day waranty. It stared making strange noises before the 30 days , though I thought that these might be unique to this fridge. After 30 days, i found out that the freezer was Icing up, because I could hear a fan making a noise that was getting louder and louder. I found out that this is because of frost and ice build up behind the panels and it wasn't self defrosting. I called and asked R***** about it and he told me to unplug the fridge for about 24 hours and let it defrost. he told me that it was probably a bad control board and i should try to get a new one. I hired a technician who evaluated it and stated he could not help, because there are no more parts available for this fridge. R****** suggested i try to find a replacement control board. I did buy one online and put it in, but the problem kept happening. It needs to be manually defrosted with a heat gun or steamer with the power off, every 7 days. i hired a 2nd technician , who again evaluated it and stated that there was likely no remedy available for this unit as it appears that air is entering the frame of the unit causing excess frost and subsequent freezing as well as no parts avialablity. He told me that the seller sold me a Lemon and I should try to get my money back. I contacted Roberto about this and he told me that he has a freind that repairs control boards, but he mainly works on cars, and there would be no guarantee, and that would cost an extra $140. He refused to offer any other support, reimbursment or compensation for my loss. I have to buy another one now, I have spent an excess of $1000 on this fridge with no support from the seller.

I PURCHASED AN USED GE FRIDGE AFTER R****** ( R******'S APPLIANCE & REFRIGERATION) ASSURED ME THAT THE THE ICE MAKER AND WATER DISPENSER WORKED, IN ADDITION TO THE REFRIGERATION. AFTER INSTALLATION I DISCOVERED THESE FUNCTIONS DID NOT WORK. I CONTACTED R****** INFORMING HIM OF THESE PROBLEMS. HE ASKED ME TO SEND A PICTURE OF THE CONTRO PANEL, WHICH I DID. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN, EVEN AFTER SENDING TEXTS AND PHONE CALLS. I HIRED AN EXPERIENCED AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED APPLIANCE REPAIR COMPANY WHO DISCOVERED THREE BAD, NON-WORKING PANELS, ONE WASN'T EVEN AVAILABLE ANYMORE. I CONSIDER "ROBERTO'S APPLIANCE AND REFRIGERATION" BUSINESS UNRELIABLE, DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT. I AM LOOKING INTO LEGAL ACTION. J*** *****
