My sister, ****************, has dementia from Alzheimer. On February 2022 she flooded her condo so we asked SERVPRO to clean up the mess. The first time they were here they did not do what they were supposed to so we asked them to come correct the problem. They asked for more money to which we agreed. But this time they made the situation worse with equipment failure. Their dehumidifier was leaking water and soaked the carpet so we asked them to stop and contracted another company to complete the job. We then have to find another contractor to replace the carpet. The attached file documented the e mail exchange we have with them.When SERVPRO sent us the invoice in 2022 we refused payment, explaining to them the reason. We have not heard from them for a few months and thought the matter closed. Then lately they again demanded payment with text messages and e mails, threatening legal actions. We are very concerned they may put a lean on my sister's condo, potentially delaying its sale to finance her memory care. We are contacting the BBB and hope you can help us to mediate the situation.
