In March 2022 I purchased Velux Richmond vinyl flooring from ABC Tile Stockton store. About 4 months later in July I noticed planks warping, buckling, and peeling. This flooring has a 25 year warranty. I contacted **** the manager at the ******** store. **** advised me that their headquarters in ********** advised that I must *********** inspection done and if was deemed that the flooring was faulty I would be reimbursed the flooring and inspection fees. The inspector deemed flooring to be faulty. I would like to be reimbursed not only for the price I paid for flooring ($2200 + $495 for inspection) but also the $4300 that I paid to have this defective flooring installed. The total sum of $6995. I have spoken with ***************** the area manager to no avail. I dont even believe that that is his real name!There was another complaint against this business for the exact same issue! Exact same product Velux Richmond vinyl flooring.Business response

I have reached out to *********************** and advised her that ABC Tile will not be able reimburse her with her demand on the material and installation. The contractor that she used to install the flooring was not a licensed contractor and for that reason it voids all warranties. I have contacted CSBL (Contractors ******************** and was advised by them that using an unlicensed contractor is not only illegal for the contractor but is also illegal to the person hiring them. They stated that she can give them a call to file a complaint against the contractor and what steps she need to take to get her money back. On April 2021, we purchased the Zelux, Rigid Core Richmond ( Vinyl flooring) from *** Flooring ( ********** Branch. We had it installed in May 2021. In around December 2021, we noticed the flooring installed in the kitchen is showing some signs of warping where the tiles are connected. I contacted the installer and he referred us back to the company we purchased the tiles. I contacted ***, the manager, in January ****************************************** on a later time about my problem. I placed several phone calls and left messages. In February, I spoke to him a couple more times and he promised me that he will send somebody to the house to check on my complaint, but nobody showed up or contacted us. Called again in March and now he is telling me that I need to get a certified floor inspector. I did call and the fee for the inspector is $695. *** told me that I will have to pay upfront and if found that the flooring is the problem they will reimburse me the fee. The flooring has a 25 year warranty as stated on the box for residential. I dont think that we should be subjected to this because of the warranty and I need my flooring to get fixed. I need your assistance on this matter.Business response

I am writing with reference to complaint ID #********. First I apologize for the late respond. We take great care to ensure that all customers are satisfy. From what the customer is saying is that they don't want to pay for the inspector fee. In order to fix the issues, we have to find out what are the cause. Therefore, we need that inspection report. Here at ABC Tile, our process is very simple when it comes defective vinyl/laminate. Get a certified floor inspector to come and check the floor. If the vinyl is a manufacturer defect, we will be happy to replace all vinyl and reimburse for the floor inspector fee simple as that. But if it's not a manufacturer defect, then the consumer will have to pay for the floor inspector fee and any extra vinyl that they want to purchase. So that is our company policy. The customer is not willing to follow the simple process. We are willing to work with the customer. Thank you for your time. Xong
