I brought a 14k Blue Star Sapphire ring in for a band repair approximately 8 years ago. I was told that they would keep it in their safe, but to wait till gold prices went down. I was contacted by the store a few times letting me know that the ring was still in the safe, to which I requested that ***, the Jeweler contact me so we could discuss the repair. I contacted *** and told him to repair the ring. Not only have I contacted DeVons Jewelers to see if the repair was completed, I also went in person. There was always a reason as to why it hadnt been done. I am now moving out of state. I contacted DeVons to get my ring on 03/11/22 and have it repaired somewhere else. I was told that they couldnt find my ring and that it was possibly sent out to be destroyed! DeVons just expects me to accept this loss. I have had the ring for many years. The sentimental loss can not be replaced. I expect this business to replace my ring with one of equal value or make a restitution for the cost of replacement. They were able to contact me and tell me to wait on the repair, but couldnt contact me to tell me the ring was no longer in their safe! Complete negligence on their part. The most insulting, and shocking part is they plan to offer me nothing for the loss of my ring. I will NOT accept this.
