Not happy with move. Movers came out with 2 26' trucks. Did not finish 1 storage unit. Had them go to my ************* not sure of everything they got. I heard they got his dressers, bed, and nightstands and 1 tv. Then they charged ** approximately $2500 additional saying both trucks are full, they had no more room. Now as they filled the trucks, they put mattresses by lift so I could not see how full the trucks actually were. We were told that ALL items like paper products had to be in boxes. I was going to buy boxes at the storage facility for those items. The movers just took these items and threw them in 1 truck without inventorying them. The trucks were backed up to each other so both tailgates faced each other. The truck on the left they just kept putting our stuff on the tailgate, never inventoried. The truck on the right had the only person that spoke English! He was the person who was tagging and inventorying items on a log. I never saw him inventory the left truck. Not sure what was going on. I also never received any copies of his inventory/log list. While loading the trucks, there was stuff they did not want to take, that I had inventoried with ********************* from *******, so they just shoved/threw this stuff, which I had told ************** to take, into my personal 5X10 utility trailer and left a mess. ******** requested in ************, after being picked up in ***** **, 27 June 2022 with a actual delivery date of 16 Aug 2022. Also trucks doing delivery were different from pickup. Delivery was in 1 26ft and 1 19 ft trucks. Then drivers stated they dont unload the trucks. We found out the 2 guys came to unload got jobs on Craigs List.Without inventory log I can't verify damaged/missing. Also to submit a claim you have to have that inventory log/list.

i purchased this moving service to move my goods from ****************** to ******. I paid them nearly $4K in transportation cost of my few items. They ended up "losing" my most expensive items like my $3K tv, tech accessories, and my xbox series X. When i tried to work with their customer service. They couldn't find it anywhere and couldn't find it on their cameras. I tried to put an insurance claim with their provider, but they also denied my claim. I tried to fight it with the credit card, but still was forced to pay for the move. They also informed me that they would pay me out $600 for the lost product and never did. They've completely lied to me and have been the worst purcahse i've ever made. I've tried following up 10+ times with their manager, but he refuses to respond to **** would prefer a sole refund of the moving cost because the items they lost were worth that much money. If not, i'd like a refund for a least half their service because they only preformed half the work. they picked it all up from my place, but never dropped off everything to my new home. that to me, is half the work completed and they can't "find" my stuff. I believe they stole it on purpose because those items were worth some money.

I started with ****** Services Dot ******* MC ******** and was given binding contract in the amount of $6,771.50. They hired A1 Transportation for my move on January 24,2022. When A1 transportation finished loading the truck I was told that there was not enough room for the rest of my stuff. I would need another truck to pick up my remaining items. When it was time to sign paperwork my total for the move increased and was told I now owed them $15,564. to complete the move. I made several calls to ****** Services to complain and kept leaving messages. I finally spoke to ******* who told me to write up email with all my concerns and he would take care of it. Well needless to say he left on vacation and did not follow through. I had no choice but to pay the amount in order to get my belongings which did arrive over 30 days later. I had 9 months to file a claim for any damages. After going through all my boxes and was able to come up with a list of things that were broken/missing/damaged. I went through CSI which is listed on the invoice from ****** Services and filed my claim on October 13, 2022. I then received an email from CSI that my claim was being closed. I contacted the case manager ****************** who said that A1 transportation is currently handling their own claims inhouse. I was advised to contact them to file my claim. I call their number ************** and line is always busy. It is over the 9 months and I feel they are going to tell me this for the reason I can no longer file a claim. They have been scamming me from day one and this company's review shows how they run their business. The scam all their customers. I believe at this point I'm going to need legal advise and hire an attorney to pursue claims against them. Their website does not show where to file a claim. Pretty hard to get any answers if they do not answer their phone. I'm not even sure emailing them would result in a response back from them. I probably will keep getting the run around.

We hired ************************** to facilitate our move from ********** to ************. They contracted A1 Transportation and Relocation to deliver our items. A1 contractually agreed upon delivery within 21 business days. It has been 28 business days (6 weeks total) as of today. They will not return our calls or emails. The broker, **************************, continues to state that ******** from A-1 will reach out to us. She has not, after repeated efforts. We now believe our things have been stolen.

I hired Allied Transportation Group located in *******, to move my household from ********** to *****. The total moving estimate (based on 574 cf (**** lbs) with $6.25 per cf as the estimated rate) was $5171.12 of which I had to pay them $1,607.81 to secure the move. They outsourced the move to A1 Transportation and Relocation located in **********, ** whom picked up my belongings on June 30, *************************** their warehouse until I gave them a delivery date.I was to give A1 Transportation and Relocation a cashiers check or **** money order in the amount of $1770.15 and pay them the remaining balance of $2,512.00 upon delivery to my new home in *****. Once everything was loaded on the truck, I was informed that I owed $741.85 for additional stairs and for additional cf. The total amount spent on this move between both companies is $4,119.00.On August 22, 2022, I called Allied Transportation Group to inform them that my belongings could be delivered to my new address in ***** on August 30, 2022. They instructed me to contact A1 Transportation and Relocation directly to give them this information, which I immediately did. I spoke with ******** whom asked me to email the information to ************************************** on August 22, 2022. I also asked her for a timeframe regarding when my belongings would be delivered and she said she would check and get back to me, but never did.Allied Transportation Group nor A1 Transportation and Relocation companies have yet contacted me with a delivery date; belongings were to be delivered to my within 2 to 14 business days from August 30, 2022. I have since started living at my new place (as of September 25, 2022) and had to purchase items to be semi-comfortable until I get my belongings. This was an unexpected expense which could have been avoided had my belongings been delivered on time. I need assistance with getting my belongings but am starting to wonder if they have been stolen.

I am from ********** but currently serve in the Navy in **************, ********. I got married in May and hired ********************* in June to provide moving services for all of the wedding gifts plus all of my wife's belongings coming from ********** to **************. They said they would find a company to actually do the move but they were still responsible and liable for all of my belongings and the move. They got A1 transportation to be in charge for picking up, transporting, and delivering my belongings. Everything was picked up on the 15th of July. According to the contract signed by my wife on the day of pick up, A1 transportation stated the max ******** date should be 30 business days from the first available ******** date that we marked as the 23rd of July. That would put the max ******** date around September 6th. I cannot get ahold of either company for an update on my belongings or for a ******** date. I was able to get a Navy attorney to try and contact both companies for me but he also instructed me to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Amongst those belongings are most of my wife's clothes that she needs for her work and day to day life, a lot of furniture for our home that we are lacking now and many other things we weren't prepared for not having for this amount of time. Not being able to get ahold of either company by phone or via email is very concerning and I have no idea what to do about it. Just to put into perspective, from the 25th of July to the 18th of August I called either both of the companies or one of them everyday, all of those days I could rarely get someone on the phone, and when someone would pick up the phone, they could not get answers for a ******** date or status of my belongings.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Good afternoon ****,

I appreciate you forwarding this message to me, it's the first I have heard from A1 Transportation in months. Regarding the response, it is good to hear from them and that I will be getting a discount for each day that passes that my belongings aren't delivered but I wasn't able to get the phone number from ********* as I try to establish a reliable way to communicate with them. I also would like to know why my items haven't been moved to the East Coast yet since they've had everything picked up on the 15th of July, and also would like to know what is the realistic timeline for the delivery.

Thank you for getting me that message,

      Very respectfully,

      ***********************

I moved from ** to SC. A1 Transportation and Relocation located in **********, ** has had my household goods for nearly 3 months (since May 17, 2022, it is now August 9, 2022). They barely answer the phone and refuse to give me an email or address where my things are. I have been without my bed for 3 months and various personal items. They lied constantly that my things are coming every week and it does not and no one will contact me. This cycle has continued since June 2022 when my things didn't show up after 30 days and I paid them $764.50 upon pick up and I was to pay that amount upon delivery. July 7, 2022 they sent a delivery but it turned out to be another customers things so we had to scratch out the signatures on the bill of lading. I spoke to ***************************** with A1 transportation and relocation. She stated that *********, the manager of the company&point of contact no longer works for the company and I will be dealing with her, while she figures out the issue. I later found out that it was a lie because she said herself that she needed to contact him. When I addressed her on that lie August 8th she claims there are multiple Christians so now it is *******************************. I have been asking the company where is my things? Is it safe? They have not given me a straight answer and told me my things are either in ***********, or ********** **. THEY DON'T KNOW? A1 was dispatched to take the job through a broker company called ***************************** in ** yet a totally different company, ********** and Storage is the company that A1 contracted to come to pick up my things (in an enterprise truck) who left receipts and bill of lading paperwork. I have reached out to ******************* at A&L who I believe is the owner, to get more information and he said ********* is who we need to speak to because he is not responsible even though his company picked up my things for A1 and delivered it to them. I need results immediately, as i believe they lost or stole my things.

June 11, 2022, A-1 transportation and relocation showed up at my home at ******************************************************************** They showed up with a full truck and had to go rent a U-Haul to move my items. On the last load they gave us a ******-dollar bill demanded ******** up front or our stuff was theirs. we were confused why we were being charged that amount when we were quoted ******** for the total move. I later found out this company was contracted out by United moving and storage which is who we contacted for the move. A-1 transportation did not honor the quote we had from united moving and storage. A-1 transportation did not come to my house prior to moving my items to give me a quote on what they would charge to move my items. I tried calling them to resolve this issue, I would pay them for what they have done moving my items 0.9 tents of a mile away, but the number has been disconnected. but when I use my sons Phone, I can get right threw to ********. So, I have also learned my number and my wives has been blocked. I don't think A-1 transportation and relocation is capable of moving my items to ***** because they only report ****** miles a year with one truck to the ***** and I am further looking into their IFTA status.

      Business response

      08/12/2022

We are able to complete the whole job and take it all the way out to *****. Youre the one that decided to cancel the move. No we did not do an in person estimate because it was never requested with the broker. If you wanted an in person estimate it wouldve been done directly with the broker. We never held your stuff hostage and we returned the items when you requested it. Again we are able to deliver your items all the way to ***** just let ** know. Please

I am rejecting this response because:I canceled the service because I was quoted $6482.64 by united moving and storage to move my items to ************, **. I was not told or contacted by A-1 Transportation & relocation, informing me they were moving my items until the evening of June 10th from united moving and storage.By other reports and accounts from BBB and Yelp this is not your first job you have done for United moving and storage. You took it upon yourself not to contact me to explain How you (A-1 transportation and relocation) does their billing, we did not have a chance to say we did not want your service. *** did not give us a bill until after the last load was loaded into the **Haul from A-1 transportation & relocation rented. The *************** gave us was for $15,055.00 that is ******** over the binding contract I signed with united moving and storage. That is 232% over the binding contract. By law (FMCSA estimating charges subpart D) the quote cannot exceed 110% of the binding contract. I paid the amount of $2,442.34 on June 9th to united moving and storage and $6,558.76 to A-1 transportation on June 11th, 2022, with both combined I have paid $9001.10, that is ******** over what I have signed that is 138% over the binding contract.  due to the extra boxes, we did not report and fuel prices I believe the money I have paid, A-1 should honor the contract I had with united moving and storage that A-1 agreed to take upon to get my property to ************, **. *** from A-1 transportation and relocation took it upon his self to X out the insurance for anything broken, lost or damaged that left me at their mercy for their treatment of my property. It should have been my decision if I wanted to waive insurance.

So, A-1 transportation showed up without giving us a quote and did the job at hand they agreed upon with united moving and storage and blind-sided us with a $15,055.00 bill and demanded $6,585.76 after packing our stuff you tell me how fair that is.
