I purchased 39 Brilliant smart dimmer switches and 3 Brilliant Smart Home Controls in April 2022 for my newly renovated house. We installed the switches in May, from then the switches have never worked as advertised. The issues are as follows:- two lights shorted and started a small fire and is now singed.- lights on the smart dimmer switch don't dim. -lights on the smart dimmer switch don't turn on -lights on the smart dimmer switch don't turn off. -lights on the smart dimmer switch randmly turn off and on and then won't turn on or off. - the smart hubs crash randomly -lights on the smart hub stop working -lights on the smart hug won't dim -the brilliant lights don't with ********************* as advertised - they won't dim or turn on. - two lights shorted and started a small fire and is now singed.I spent ~$4230 across all of these products plus on Philips hue lights that also do not work. I want to return all of this junk and get a full refund.Business response

Long story short. I paid thousands of dollars for about 6-7 brilliants. Some single gangs, 2gangs and up to 4 gangs. I put all of these in a new build home that we built just three years ago. One by one all the brilliants are dying and what do you know they are out of warranty. Single switches on half of the ones I bought are no longer functioning. I have one in my garage that has some faulty internal components and turns on and off all day long. I replaced a plate on one of them which was quite expensive as it was out of warranty but I refuse to do it for the remaining ones. I was spreading the good word of brilliant in the beginning and quite a few of my friends started putting them in but now that I see the problem with their quality I will not be a buyer or promoter unless something is done to fix this situation. For the amount Im paying for a plate I can buy basic smart switches that will never go out. These seems to have a 2-4 year lifespan before something breaks and thats unacceptable for switches this expensive. I would appreciate a call with one of the founders/higher *** to discuss further and to see if there is something we can do. Long term this is not going to go well with this many problems.
