I had ******* shares in Franklin ****************, which is managed by ***********************, a wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. This shares were inherited when my mother passed away in May 2019 and are valued at $3,958. In June of this year, I logged into my account to discover that all of the shares had been removed and placed in my dead mother's inactive account. I was never contacted regarding this transaction nor did I authorize it.I have called at least 5 times requesting that the funds be placed back in my account, and every time I get a different story about the situation with no resolution.I can provide my mother's death certificate and last will & testament. I do not think it is ethical for this company to be able to remove my shares/money from my account without my consent, nor for them to put them in a known dead person's account.Initial Complaint

I have tried contacting the company to obtain cost basis records for company shares I had purchased through their ESIP program. Their website only has a number to call to their fund shareholder line which I have called multiple times. Each time I have been directed to contact ******* ***** who currently manages their ESIP program. After contacting ******* ***** a couple times, each time they have referred me to the prior entity that handled the program before them but that company referred me back to Franklin HR. Tried calling FRI HR multiple times and no one live answers except for a recording. Have left three messages but no one has called me back. Unable to resolve my matter because no one at Franklin is available or not responding in a timely fashion.
