Around 2020 year of Nov i spoke with a lady ( I am unable to remember name) and she explained that with Alumni financial assistance and what i was informed of that is that, I would pay ****** (3 times) and they would take over my student loan and I would not have to deal with or get in touch with Greatlakes, i would have to call once year to see if their was a change. So now around the sametime of 2021 i did my normal call in however this time was a little different due to the i had go thru 3rd party company and do a email like no one from alumni is answering the phone, and then i was told to give it 24 to 48 hours and i did. the next day i a call and the same lady who was ***** explained she was the only one there and to bare with her, and i could email her if need, ( due to me always on the go, it was easier for me to do). Now same time of 2022 i called and the number was disconnected and i called the 3rd party company and they stated they didn't do business with ******* and they didn't have a updated number, and when i started doing research i started seeing all of these claims and others went thru what i had gone thru so i called BBB and here we are writing a claim about the company of alumni financial assistant company

I received a call after applying for a public service student loan debt relief. The actor on the phone sounded to be honest and advised that I could have my loan forgiven if I made 6 on time payments of $186 and 1 Year on time payments of $64, so far I have given this company $1756.00 of my hard earned money. I tried to contact this company and the phone is either off or sent to a voicemail for *****. In December, 2021 I received an email advising that they would be using a different company called Green payment processing. I called them to advise that I do not wish for money to come out of my account any more. Yesterday I received a letter in the mail from the ***** of ** and they provided me with my actual student loan provider Mohela. Since I didn't see any money applying to my loans I called Mohela . The agent advised me that only they or the ***** of ** can offer loan forgiveness. That I have been scammed and to stop all payments at once. I contacted my financial institution and they advised that they can't stop them from processing payments because they are drafting as if it were a check. They suggested I call the company which I did and no response. My bank said there's nothing they can do, buyer beware. While writing this complaint I received a call from ****** at Students Come First, he said he would stop drafting but my money is not refundable because we were never in a student loan forgiveness program and we were just sending them fees. Why would I send them money for no reason is beyond me. I have emails that prove the company was requesting payments as a loan forgiveness program. It is wrong for companies to treat people in such a way, they have all of my information, account numbers, loan info, student aid everything. Please stop these scammers from stealing from me and anyone else in a vulnerable situation. I lost over $1700 and I do not know how to recover my money or if this company will use my information in any other ways. I have every
