I bought this car, a 2017 Cadillac ATS 2.0T luxury sedan on 2.12.24 picked it up 2.13.24. Four days later, the problems began. The power steering started to squeak, went to have it checked. I was told it is electric. After driving around for 10 minutes maybe more it would eventually stop. This was a daily occurrence. I took the car to ********* to have all my fluids checked. A day or so later, I got in the car and drove less than 2 miles and it flashes hot. I pull over. Once it cools, I get more coolant. Back to Valvoline the next day upset, because I thought they missed it, not the case. They refill the coolant. Im leery now so I check the coolant often. After another day or so, I am now sure there is a leak. I contact *** the manager at TMG and express my concerns. He claims the car had maintenance done the week before I bought it. I dont believe him and ask for a copy of the maintenance report. Waiting. . . I call him back after the weekend. He tells me the shop that supposedly did the maintenance is claiming that they gave the paperwork to the ****** at ***. The ****** claims he never received it. Then *** tells me there are no copies. I know this to be false from working in a motor pool myself. Even non-digital companies have or should have paperwork/forms in duplicate or triplicate because they have to maintain records for a period of time. Im calling every other day or so because the car is getting worse. He tells me to calm down because its just a car. Wow! Today 3.13.24 I take the car in again this time to try to find the leak for the coolant. After that initial leak is located, we find its also leaking oil. I attempt to start the car and it wont start. We jump the car, it starts and it cuts off. Jump it again, the car stays running with white smoke billowing from the tailpipes. This indicates, worst case scenario blown head gasket or much worse case scenario, cracked head. I am devastated and stranded. Looking at thousands of dollars in repairs.
