On January 21, 2023 at 12:09pm, I subscribed to Starz Entertainment for streaming services promotion, priced at $4.99 for first month and $8.99 per month thereafter.On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Starz,s auto payment system attempted to secure the first $8.99 payment, which was declined because my cash card was not enabled. On February 22, 2023 at 3:55am, Representative ***** emailed me of the failed payment attempt. On that same date, at 10:50am, I emailed a reply to *****, indicating payment was sent on February 21 at $8.99. On February 23, 2023, at 9:15am, Starz,s system deducted a second $8.99 payment for the same billing period. I have emailed ***** repeatedly complaining of the deduction. I provided Starz with the electronic receipts showing the double payment, and requested either a refund or credit for the following month from March 23, 2023 - April 23, 2023. At least (4) reps denied my claims, claiming they could not verify the payments. Each person ignored the receipted evidence, showing (2) payments within a 2-day period for the services received from January 21, 2023 - February 23, 2023. I complained to Starz of a flaw in the automated collection: if a customer receives an email informing him/her of a failed payment attempt and the customer initiates making the payment, ***** fails to update their system to reflect the tendered payment. The result is a computer system that continues to attempt collection every two days untill successful, even if the customer has paid for services on their own, as is the case, here.Business response
