I just got duped. Signed up only to realize after they're not associated with the official covered california program. Tried to call their customer service line and it's just a perpetual hold. This should be a case of fraud. Don't give them your info.

We quote, enroll, and service people on Covered California plans. Like everyone else, I signed up with these guys thinking they were the Covered California website. It caused problems with ******, with Covered CA, with Blue Shield. I spent a TON of time getting direct access to my accounts with the actual insurers, and even now they still list these guys as my broker, something I absolutely DO NOT want. Their advertising is clearly intentionally misleading as is their web presence, surely that's not legal. And their data privacy policy isn't compliant which is EXTREMELY concerning for a company that is misleading you into providing your personally identifying data and health information! Like many others, I was tricked when they were the first link that came up on ****** when I searched "covered california." About 10 minutes after submitting my application and realizing my mistake, I called and withdrew my application. The person on the phone was very nice and went through the process without any fuss. I received and email confirming my withdrawal. Then, the very next day I received a text and email letting me know I had been enrolled despite having withdrawn my application. I wanted to call immediately but it is a federal holiday and now I have to wait until next week.This is unacceptable.Health For California Insurance Center Response

This is a SCAM - avoid them at all costs. I was led to believe that they were part of Covered California due to their deceptive website, and I briefly engaged with them before realizing based on their language and questions that they were not who they appeared to be, specifically when skirting around my request for a business address and proof of accreditation.I have since received endless calls over the past 6 weeks from a variety of different area codes. Despite asking them to stop calling me, they will not stop calling. This normally wouldn't bother me too much as rejecting a phone call takes less than 15 seconds out of my day, however my most recent phone call was from a ********* who stated he was a licensed insurance agent for the state of California. I politely asked him to please stop calling me and he responded "No shot a**hole" and promptly hung up. This level of poor treatment and blatant disregard for other people's well being is morally reprehensible. I am considering legal options.Health For California Insurance Center Response

The barrage of phone calls is CRAZY ANNOYING. We totally agree. We do not do that, so those phone calls were not from us. Here's the trick: If you get to a website that asks for your phone number before they give you the price, then RUN! Those websites sell your info to a bunch of brokers and they start calling like crazy. I'm so sorry that happened to you.
We actually do NOT have an employee named ********** The ******* who called you was probably a legit licensed agent. If you have his full name or license number, you can look him up on the CA Department of Insurance Website. Usually, those annoying phone calls do come from legit agents, but it's still frustrating getting bombarded with calls like that.
As far as our identity, we are licensed with the CA Department of Insurance. We are certified with Covered CA. We do online enrollment for Covered California. We pride ourselves in having the easiest process and the best customer service in the state. You can check us out on the Covered CA website or on the Department of Insurance website. Also, you can check out our ****** reviews, and you will see that everything I'm saying is true.

Gave this company our phone number while trying to find a plan and they immediately sold it to scammers, now we are getting nonstop spam calls and texts. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY or they will ruin your week.Health For California Insurance Center Response

Hi Benjamin! I'm so sorry you got bombarded with all those calls. We did not do that, though. We have never sold our customer's info and we never will. But there are a lot of websites that do sell people's info. Here's the trick. If you get to a website and it asks for your contact info before it tells you how much the plans cost, then RUN! Those websites will sell your info all over the place and like you said "ruin your week". Take care!Review from Caitlynne D

Extremely deceptive company. They plaster their website with Covered California, even being advertised as such and being a top link when you look up Covered California on ******* They claim to work with CC to get you CC insurance. But in tiny text at the very bottom of their website, you will find they are not affiliated with Covered California AT ALL! You're not actually on assistance and that really screws with you when renewals and such roll around. Do not let yourself be scammed!Health For California Insurance Center Response

We are licensed with Covered California, we do online enrollment for them, and we work very closely with Covered California. However, for legal reasons Covered CA wants this wording on our website, so that they are not liable for our content. It's confusing, but it's something we are required to do.We pretty much only sell Covered California plans. That is our product. The quotes you get on our website are Covered California quotes. If you apply, you will be enrolled in a Covered CA plan (potentially with a government discount).Again, I'm sorry about the frustration.
