Received a voicemail regarding a past due bill that was in the previous tenants name. They claimed I was responsible for the bill that the previous tenant had defaulted on. I attempted to contest it many times and they were extremely rude and instead of covering the $29 dollar bill, threatened me with it. I spoke with an individual by the name of *****, who was extremely rude and laughed at the thought that I did not live at the address prior. I attempted to provide my lease agreement, which she refused to acknowledge. Unfortunately there is no option but pay for someone elses bill in order to continue to receive water. The worst way to do business. Granted I was made aware of the bill nearly two years after the supposed bill was due. May of 2021 and I moved in, in May of 2022.

Padre Dam has been over billing me. They sent out a disconnection notice on a Thursday. This being sent after only one month has gone delinquent due to their mismanagement not mine. They do not allow customers to pay in person. They have limited phone hours on Friday. I went online to pay. Their site wont allow me access to my account. I have followed all the prompts. *** tried to reset my password twice. In doing that, it changed my username ( strange). Using their temporary password, it still did not work. It says my account is inactive.. I tried to register my account thinking maybe it needed to be re-registered. It says my account is already active. The nonsense in trying to navigate that site is frustrating not to mention, given all the road blocks to try to pay a bill within 48 hours, ( before being disconnected ) appears to be highly illegal. The next business day ( Monday) is also the shut off day. How is this legal? My only option is leaving a check in an overnight box that again, will be paid Monday ( disconnection day). They are one of the most expensive water companies in the country. One would think they wouldnt have to operate in such unethical ways to get even more money. Not to mention, theyve monopolized the water in my area forcing myself as well as several other hard working residents to be bullied by them. It needs to stop! These practices are outrageous!!!
