Date of Incident: March 10, 2024 Address Incident Occurred: *************************************************************** LAPD Report #: ************ Incident Description: On the Date of the Incident, at the Address listed above, I valeted my car with Zultra Parking. After finishing dinner, I returned to the valet stand to retrieve my key. I was told that while I was at dinner, someone had come by the stand, broken the lock to the box where keys were kept, and stolen sets of keys. The valet stand was only manned by a single individual who was running to get cars and taking new customers, leaving the stand unoccupied periodically. This left an opportunity for someone to break into the stand and take sets of keys.In order to ensure my safety, I received a quote from a car dealership about replacing the locks and keys in my car so that the person who still has my key cannot access my vehicle in the future. Although the company promised that they would help reimburse for the damages I would face due to this incident, they are no refusing to cover the estimated cost of repairs.Business response

This incident does not involve Zultra Parking, Inc. Although that is the name of the signature line of ************************ email, he is affiliated with more than one valet parking company. This incident occurred at a restaurant that is not contracted with Zultra Parking, Inc. I did find out that ******************** wrote the guest immediately to reimburse him for the stolen key due to theft from a locked key box that was broken into. He offered reimbursement for the stolen key however the demand for full replacement of the vehicle's electric key system totaling $3600.00 seems disproportionate given the circumstances. ** standard practice in the valet parking industry, replacing the key addresses security concerns. The person (s) who stole the key did not see the vehicle. They are not able to gain access to where it is garaged or any of the owner's information simply by having the key.Customer response

I am rejecting this response. Regardless of whether it is officially Zultra Parking or not, the valet company involved in this incident should be held accountable for their negligent practices.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because. The business that is ultimately responsible for this incident should make itself present. The initial person I spoke with presented themselves as a representative of Zultra, so I had to use that as my initial assumption. If another company is responsible, they should make themselves known immediately.
Sincerely,
