      Hello, We live in ********* **********. We had an estate issue (my husband's father died five years ago and the executor has not yet provided him with the cash specified to my husband in the will) for which we contacted the ********************** Law Firm. We paid a $10,000 retainer and an additional $2224 in fees. My husband ***** made repeated efforts to reach the lawyer but it was very difficult to establish contact. They talked two or three times but generally it was very hard to get calls returned from the lawyer. We never received copies of any correspondence or other documents that he received or sent out, nor were we ever given his direct telephone number. We terminated services on November 14, 2022 via email and requested that our retainer fee be returned. The attorney, as well as the managing partner, has never responded. They are not returning our calls or responding to our e-mails. Is there any redress for this? The details below are obtained from our email interactions with the law firm. 7/22/22 Consult with law firm 7/29/22 Email from ***************************** to ********************** Law Firm to proceed with case 8/22/22 Email request from ***************************** to ***************************, assistant, to provide us with *****************************' direct number (to this date we do not have a direct phone number for **************) 8/25/22 Email request from ***************************** to *************************** for *****************************' direct number Payments requested and paid were: 9/7/22/ $522 0/5/22 $1,198 11/3/22 $524 11/7/22: ***************************** sent an email request to the office for **************' phone number. We did not get a response. 11/14/22: ***************************** sent an email to the firm saying we were terminating the firm's representation of us and to please send us the retainer back. We have a copy of the retainer and it says we are entitled to the money left over after services are completed. 11/14/2022: ***************************** called the firm to ensure that the email was received. We were told by the secretary that it was received and we would get a return call. No response. 11/15/22: ***************************** called again. The receptionist assured him that he would get a return call by the end of the day. 11/15/22 *************************** called the law firm. I asked to be transferred to Ms. ************************ email. I was told by the secretary that she didn't have the capability to transfer me to that phone number. She said Ms. ********************** is aware of the emails (the receptionist said she sent them to Ms. **********************) saying that we terminated our involvement with the law firm and that we are requesting our retainer be returned. She said I would get a return call by the end of the day. As of today, 11/25/2022, we have gotten no response, either verbal or written, from this law firm or from anyone that works there. I am very concerned that we are not going to get our retainer back.*********, ***************************

      The ********* are not clients of Tresp, Day & Associates, **** They are clients of Tresp Law, APC, and they have been represented exceptionally well. Tresp Law, APC can provide their retainer fee agreement and invoices showing detailed charges. We have received no complaints from the ********* that I am aware of, so we will follow up directly with them directly to determine what prompted this message to you.

      the business' response is not accurate.  On Nov 14 2022 we sent an email asking for our retainer back and followed up with three phone calls.  All have been unanswered.  As for exceptionally good representation we have received nothing from them in terms of copies of letters or paperwork that they prepared on our behalf other than the fee agreement and additional 8nvoic3s.  We terminated the case due to their lack of communication inaction with us.  As you can see we were not even sure which trespasser firm represented us.  The receptionist had told us it was tresp, day and associates.  Not one ***** ofthe retainer has been returned to us.
