Our dog tested heartworm positive at the end of October on a regular annual check. Then contacted Serra Veterinary Hospital for further detailed tests. Here's the problem.1. After all the test forms came back, no one explained the forms for me, I don't even know if my dog has heartworm or not. I ask the front desk assistant during the phone call to give me a brief, she said it's all on the forms. I said I don't understand all the professional terms, She replied, that's not her job then asked us to come in and pick up the medicine. Then I came and asked the doctor. The doctor said It's all on the forms and when I wanted to know more details, he said he had another patient to see and left.Out of consideration for our dog's health, after using Chatgpt to explain the test forms and googled all the questions we had, we decided to continue with Serra. Other doctors reminded the way to treat heartworm *** be different and that *** affect my dog's health.2. Then we found out that the hospital gave the wrong amount of medicine. I sent an email to confirm the appointment and mentioned the medicine was used up 3 days ago. A day after they replied our dog should continue on the medicine. I asked if that would have any influence on my dog's health, they said it's not ideal and rushed me in to pick up the medicine. I asked but no one ever said the medicine needs refill. She replied I don't know. With no apology.
