On June 11, 2024 I contacted a ************** by the business name (Associated Tow) located in *****, **. My car was towed from an apartment community. I called the towing company and spoke with the owner, which is a male. I ask the owner if he had a white C-300 ******** **** on his lot and if so what will be the amount for me to get my car and I also asked how did he tow my car because you can not pull these type of cars they have to be put on a flatbed tow truck, he instantly got defensive and rude with me and stated "you don't get the chance to ask me how I towed the car I happen to own a G-Wagon and two other ********." I responded to him, "Then you would know you cannot tow these type of cars by pulling it by a regular tow truck and if there is any damage to my car he will be responsible for the damages." He started yelling at me and cussing me out as well as he cussed my boyfriend out when he finally told us the daily fee he was charging me while my car is stored there. He is charging $105.00 daily and that is illegal in the state of **********. California law states, storage fees are regulated under California Vehicle Code section ********. As of 2022, the maximum allowable storage fee is $55.00. When we told him that he got quite, for a moment of guilt and refused to abide by California law and proceeded to stay at the same charge ($105.00) per day and exchanged smart remarks do what you got to do and be about it if you want to *** this company. He is also charging me unnecessary fees which is Price Gouging that is unreasonable and not fair. As well as, this is also against the California Laws. My California rights have been violated, I want compensation, any damage to my vehicle taken care by Associated Tow and I my car back free of charge. This is my formal complaint against the owner at Associated Tow located at ****************************************************.Initial Complaint

Associated Tow towed my vehicle on Monday, 5/2/2022 at 2:38 AM PST. My vehicle was parked in the Electric Vehicles Charging Station in my apartment complex near my unit due to lack of parking in the area. I am not confident parking my car elsewhere as there were previous occurrences of theft in the complex including my car. Although I do not have an electric vehicle; however, the signed posted does not clearly identify that non electric vehicles cannot park in the spot or indicating that vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. I presume this is why my vehicle was towed since Associated Tow did not provide a reason on the invoice (invoice # is ****). I paid $300 to release the vehicle to me. I spoke with the apartment managements, ***** and ***** to seek clarification on the ** charging station and they confirmed there isnt a policy that prohibits non ** from parking in the parking spot.
