Undisclosed add ons. I spoke with sales for over a week and got photos and video. Drove 45 minutes to buy the car for my daughter only to be told the price is 25% more than listed due to undisclosed add ons. Stay away!Review from Naveed A

Extremely unethical dealer with classic bait and switch tactics. I came across a car posted Friday night and messaged to see it next day. I live in *********. The next morning before leaving I checked the car again and the price went up $3k. I messaged and told them I need the same price I saw it as and was told just come down we will make it work. I picked up my brother and drove down on a very busy weekend which took over 3 hours to get there. Upon getting there I was told three things 1) car is 3k higher it is what it is, 2) there is a mark up of 5k on top of the 3k higher price 3) someone else is already looking at it. Had I known any one of these things , I wouldnt have spent 3 hrs each way and ruined my weekend because of this inconsiderate dealer. Everything negative they say about dealers you will find true here. They also made me wait 20 mins there saying we will work it out but in reality they were going back in forth between me and the other party trying to get into a bidding war to make the most money. When I told them I am a cash buyer they said we dont like cash buyers we dont make any money of you. I will never get 6 hours of my weekend back because of these scum bags. Tustin GMC sales tactics are illegal, deceptive and high pressure. Buyer beware! Tustin GMC had a vehicle advertised online for $31,000 and I expected they would sell me dealer add-ons. They tried to add about $4,800 Protection Package on top of the sale price stating its not optional and its been installed on the vehicle. Of course I refused. But when I was ready to walk away, **** *******************, the sales person, went to talk to the manager. He came back stating I have to do a 3-day Option Contract to take the vehicle home. I asked **** to explain to me what an option contract is. He tried to explain it to me in a convoluted and confusing way. I informed him I already have a loan approved through the ************* Since he cannot explain it to me clearly, he brought the manager ***********************. I still do not understand why I would need this option contract when I already have financing arranged. He proceeded to bad mouth the credit union. Unable to clearly articulate a valid reason why I need to do this option contract, in the end, ***** said he cannot sell me the vehicle unless I finance it through them. According to the Consumer Protection Act, it is not legal for a dealership to require you to finance through them. When I tried to reach the dealership, the salesman replied with a lie that they are not forcing me to finance the car through them. Of course he also said the vehicle just sold in just an hour since I left the dealership. I would never recommend anyone to purchase any vehicle from Tustin GMC based on how they treated me and how they conduct their business. Tustin GMC sale representatives and managers are highly unprofessional and highly unethical. They will not sell you a vehicle unless you agree to pay for those add ons or finance through them.Review from John J

Before this was Tustin Buick GMC, it was Cadillac Oldsmobile GMC. I leased a new Cutlass Supreme from them years ago. Best car I ever owned! When the lease expired I boutht it. Great service by this dealer. So I came back in 2016 and purchased a Buick Verano. New best car i ever had. Great car, great service.People complain to the BBB but not enough of them compliment great businesses that deserve it. Veterans Beware!!!!This dealership is predatory! They tried to finance a vehicle listed for ****** for ****** due to fees and when they agreed to lower the price they had fees that could not be removed that matched the price of a trade in and down payment. *** already filed a complaint with the ************************ on their illegal business practices.Review from Dasha C

I set up and appointment with ***** who was great. I knew the price point I needed to be at to get the lease payment I wanted...when I arrived to the desolate lot Fonzi pulled out 3 vehicles in that price point including the one I was most interested in. I appreciated that they were waiting for me. I test drove one from the lot to the extra holding area where a 2022 Buick Envision was but decided on the 2023 Essence Black Sport Trim. I knew that it as advertised for 33k...and i knew that my trade was a wash. Everything was fine until he brought in his sales manager. A middle aged balding strawberry blonde man who I think was named ****..who was energetically trying to be welcoming but obviously dismissive and arrogant. He started off with the forced ****** enthusiastic mansplaining until I asked for lease figures. Then he refused to give me numbers. Mind you, I had already been pricing and test driving for a few weeks and NO ONE had refused to go over numbers. I told him this. He boasted that his dealership was the one of the top selling in the nation which was hard to believe because it was quieter than a library...and me being a researcher, I knew that both GM and Buick had not been doing too well in the market but I let him continue. He referenced financing and when I said that i was only interested in leasing (because look at this economy and the interest rates right now, duh) he told me that I could not lease at the advertised price and I could only lease at the **** of 40k! I was shocked and frustrated as most women are when we are forced to battle up at dealers so I left. When i got home after the 80 miles drive...yes 80, I had to double check the advertisement. No where on the rebates or the Buick brand website did it say that you had to finance for cash incentives or discounts on the vehicle. THIS IS ILLEGAL!Review from Adam N.

Bait and switch dealer. Wont sell the vehicle at the advertised price. Grossly inflated contract price with dealer installed extras which they wont waive. In our case the extras hadnt been installed yet. Worst yet, they werent clear on the up charges and ran my daughters credit to secure a bjnder loan and these extras were close in price to DMV and registration fees. Dishonest, stereotype used car dealership. Was expecting more from a dealer carrying major marque. Will also take up with GMC/Buiic as this also tarnishes their reputation to be associated with these kind of low lifeReview from Darren W

The worst truck-buying experience I've ever had. Red flag, I should have known better when the sales guy won't do business unless you are in their showroom floor. So, I took a day PTO and made an appointment with a sales *******************. When I arrived after driving 3 hours from ***********, ****** texted saying he was on a test drive. I waited ********************************************************* on the deal. Next, the sales guy tells me they sold the truck I was going to buy four days ago. He looks at his computer and finds another truck arriving at their dealership in two weeks. I was fine with that as long as I could get the truck I wanted at MSRP of $74,105.00 Next, he added on a Pro Pack @ $3579.00, Major Guard @ $6,408.93, Gap @ $1,495.00, Government fees, and taxes bringing the total to $93,291.63. I explained that I did not want any of the add-ons and he immediately ran to his sales manager to "see what he could do". Well, he returns 20 minutes later with the gap removed. The sales guy tells me he cannot sell the truck without the add-ons. I told him again I did not want any additional add-ons and to stop wasting my time. He looked at me confused and ran to his sales manager for advice. I had enough of this BS and started walking out. The sales manager and the sales guy said they could knock off $1000. What a joke. At this point, I was so ****** off for wasting my time. As I walked away the sales manager had an attitude and said that I would not find the truck anywhere. I told him GM would make more trucks and I would never buy from them for sure. On the way home I stopped to get gas and I got a text from ******* at *********** in Valencia with the exact truck I was looking for. This is the awesome part, I happened to stop for gas on the same exit where the dealership was located, hmmmm. I ended up purchasing a 2023 GMC Sierra ****** fully loaded with $3000 under invoice. MSRP was ****** and I got it for $70,000.Review from Laron H

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I should have checked the reviews before coming to this dealership. GMAC will be hearing me. I see this dealership has lots of complaints. ***** purchased a GMC Canyon. When he took delivery a few factory items were not in stock and back ordered. We let him know we would contact him when items were received. The item's from the factory took a couple weeks longer then expected and he got upset. Unfortunately we have no control over the timing of items received from the factory. We tried to accommodate him the best as possible while we waited for items from factory.Review from Mike s

Insisted my wife bring back her husband so they could discuss terms on a loan that she qualified for alone. We pre-qualified for a loan online before driving back down to pick up the truck, only to be told that they "sold" it to someone else within an hour.Tustin Buick GMC Response
