This is a scam. Providers that supposedly are in my network dont accept this insurance. I printed a list of providers and started calling, almost all of them said they do not accept health net hmo direct network, but on health nets portal is has over 100 doctors that take my insurance. LIES LIES LIES. I want my money back for the premiums I paid. When are they going to be shut down???Review from raul r

I can't believe I didn't come here first to check their reviews. They are unorganized, unprofessional and their online website crashes regularly. I signed our business up with this insurance a few months ago. Since then I have been unable to have anyone in their company help me with setting up Auto Pay so I don't have to deal with their "customer service" people. So far after 4 months no one has been able to help me. They direct me to their website. Their website crashes weekly and won't allow you to login. Every month so far I have had to call their collections department just to speak with someone that will take my payment. ******** from our mistake. They were the cheapest option and it shows. Maybe they are new but right now they are a complete mess. Wish us luck.Review from Deb G

Run!...Am shopping our health insurance options through *****. Health *************** HMO is the free option, so I called them first to find out about coverage for certain meds and supplies that I use. First ****** I was transferred to seemed like she had never heard of ***** (*************************************). She put me on hold once I told her that I was calling to find out about what is covered under the plan for my chronic disease and at what tier level my T1D supplies would be priced. She never came back to the phone. I could hear hold music, but then people speaking, and eventually a baby crying in the background, and I said "hello?" at least a dozen times during my over 10 min hold, but no answer. Eventually I hung up and tried to call again. After explaining why I was calling and what had happened during the first call, I was placed on hold for several minutes - just the hold music this time. Eventually a recorded message asked me to leave a message. That experience told me everything I need to know - PASS! This is a joke & disgusting that employers here in California subject their employees to this treatment.Review from Angie R

**************** for the provider line is horrible. I don't mind the wait time I get it BUT what really frustrates me is when the Reps answer your call but do not answer or you can hear background noise and yet they still don't answer. If they cannot take calls they should stop letting calls through and have us waste our time having to call back three times!Health Net of California, Inc. Response

The worst insurance I have ever had. It is almost July and I haven't been successful yet with using my insurance for 2024. I can't wait for open enrollment. Absolutely terrible. We should all get together and do a class action lawsuit and put them out of business. Health Net seems like a scam.Health Net of California, Inc. Response

**************** calls always go to offshore agents who cannot answer a single question. They connect to the wrong numbers instead of actually solving the issue. If you always have connect with someone in the **, why cant our calls go to them in the first instance. Total waste of time and worst customer service calls.Health Net of California, Inc. Response

A grievance was filed, and the outcome is: Health Net is an equal opportunity employer. While some agents may have an accent, we can assure you that all representatives speak fluent English and have been extensively trained to assist with health plan related questions. Additionally, if you feel that you need to speak with a different representative, please request to be transferred to an onshore agent and they will be sure to transfer you. Utter, absolute scum. I've had this insurance for two months since losing my job, and I still haven't been able to see a specialist for any of my ongoing medical issues. At every turn their administrative side has screwed up, assigning me to the wrong primary care doctor, mixing up records, and forcing me to spend hours on the phone with customer service. Every time I think I've cleared up whatever mess HealthNet made, I find out there's something else that's required before I can see a doctor - a code that wasn't written down somewhere, a form that needs to be faxed from one person to the other (no, the forms CANNOT be emailed, they MUST be faxed, since it's still 1996 at HealthNet). I'm growing resigned to the fact that I might just die before HealthNet ever lets me get any sort of treatment. Stay away from these good for nothing crooks.Health Net of California, Inc. Response

After researching the members issue, Health net was able to confirm with provider and member that referral was processed correctly member no longer needed assistance from the health plan.Review from Nicholas E

Most of the numbers provided by the insurance are not in service. The help line does not provide doctors either.This is a fraudulent health care provider that cheap business owners use to save money on providing healthcare to their employees. This company is the worst. I have called every phone number they have listed in their website and they cannot seem to figure out that they need to change me from ******** to the actual plan I pay for under my employer Smartcare HMO. I am trying to get my medication approved but between Healthnet and Optum, they processed my account as ********* They themselves have a hard time finding my account and just keep giving me the runaround. IT WAS EASIER TO GO THROUGH CANCER THAN TO DEAL WITH HEALTHNET AND OPTUM!!!Health Net of California, Inc. Response
