We've had ******** coverage for Auto, Home, and Umbrella for five years. Although we have never had a claim, our total premium increased 25.5% for the next policy period. Coverage for our two autos increased 30.6% and 32.4% despite having a $1,000 deductible for Collision and Comprehensive coverage. We are drivers in our late 60's who have never filed a claim in 50 years of driving. We lived at our prior home for 30 years and never filed a Homeowners claim. ******** had increased our premium 61% since our first policy in December 2020.Each year, we increase our deductibles, decrease our coverage, and are still faced with 25% plus premium increases. Based upon ******** Claim processing history, it appears that they deny legitimate claims after soaking policyholders with high premiums for years. We're shopping for a reputable carrier with the integrity that ******** is lacking.Review from Mike W

Farmers is one of the worst company with very poor service. They called and cancelled my Home ins in 2 weeks because my roof is 14 yrs old. Said if roof is replaced they would reinstate the policy with ***** yes ***** deductible on all perils, seems like the dont want anyones business. Be careful when you need insurance, not farmers.Farmers Insurance Response

Farmers insurance should be demanded to shut down.Cancel my *********** policy on end of August, 24. Farmers continuous to withdraw payment from my checking account on Sept 3 and Oct 2. Call them and they promised to send me a refund check. Received a refund check at the end of Oct, but not the full amount and no explanation why. So, I thought that must be some small balance that I still owe them. Then recently I receive couple invoices for some small balance that still I owe them on both home and auto policy in Sept. Don't know why they didn't deduct it from the refund check. So I call them to clarify. Their automated system is a total dumb system. After I input my policy no. on the call, the system said the policy has been cancelled and ask me to call my agent to re-activate new policy if needed. So dumb. Then I call my farmers agent, no answer, straight to the voice message every time. Now Farmers continues to send invoice and collection agency to me. Stay away from this company. I will give no star if this system allow. I think that's what everyone wanted to do when doing review for company like this.Farmers Insurance Response

Please answer, is it unethical for an insurance company to delay a repair by taking several days or more than a week at times to respond to a Body Shop estimate and still charge the insured multiple months of premium? Is it ethical to send a $559 check for repair without any visual review of the damage & the actual repair estimate is $3,200? Also, how long should it take for the insurer to answer questions when questions are who will pay for the tow truck? Is it ethical that we are told to pay for upfront costs like the tow truck and car rental without knowing if we will see reimbursement? Rationale for uncertain answers include, the other insurance might reimburse you. The primary reason for delayed repairs at week ten is the slow response by Bristol West which is a policy sold by ***** *****.Review from Ar S

It has been a while that I have issue with my agent and I am willing to share my experience as a review. I went to the agents portal page and logged in but it was not allowing me to make a review! So I Called Farmers Insurance customer service line, they said I can do that by sending the review to an a email! However I did it few months ago, I knew it wouldnt reflect. So I called again 2 weeks ago to follow up and make a request to talk to someone. They told me the Agent District Manager would contact me to discuss the issue. Its been more than 2 weeks now and no one ever called me. All these show how much Farmers Insurance is protective about their agents and doesnt care at all about their customers and how agents behave the customers!!!!!!!!!!I really do not need an ********************** whose agent is protected to disrespect me. I should change my insurance not just the agent. So if you want to have this insurance, please keep in mind that the agent is not there to help you. It is ok for them not to know their job. Make several mistakes. And at the end they are allowed to disrespect to you as well.Review from Paula W

Had an EFT of $81.63 on 10/29/2024 for monthly auto insurance. Cancelled auto insurance with Bristol West on 10/30/2024 to go with another auto insurance company for $20 less per month with more coverage. Was told by Bristol West that I'm going to get a $38 refund??? ***!!! So I paid $43.63 for 24 hour auto insurance!!Farmers Insurance Response

After having Farmers Insurance for several years, I am very disappointed in their customer support. I was involved in a fender ****** at a Lowes parking lot this past summer. The driver of the other vehicle claimed to his insurance company (Liberty Mutual) that both vehicles were backing up during the vehicle contact. This was not truthful. He was backing from his parking space and I was beginning to back into the space next to his. I noticed his backup lights come on, so I put my transmission into drive to avoid his hitting me. I was not quick enough and he backed into the rear side of my vehicle. I put this in writing to both Liberty Mutual and Farmers. ************** said the fault is ***** so no compensation would be awarded. Farmers determined that his insurance was 60% at fault and I was 40% at fault. I asked my claims administrator why I was 40% at fault and she said it was because we were both backing up. I again told her that was not true. She told me that their arbitration made the determination and there is nothing she could do. She told me I could pursue it in civil court if I wished.Farmers Insurance has shown me that they do not go to bat for their customers. They are only focused on making their money through premiums and not doing what is right and just.I DO NOT SUPPORT Farmers Insurance, and I do not recommend them to anyone.Review from Jane N.

Farmers Insurance is almost a fake insurance. I paid over $1500 per year for several years. But when my roof get storm damage, they said my roof is too old, and my replacement cost policy does not covered, even though my roof is not that old at all. They did not pay a ***** for my roof, but they sent me a closure letter said they paid actual value, which is zero dollar.I was so upset, and switched to different company. With my new insurance company for a year, then there is another storm damage, this new company does not cover my roof either, because they said the Farmers Insurance already paid me for the roof. What a Joke!!!Never buy Farmers Insurance. They only collect premium, but do not cover your loss when you really need them.Review from Carmelita S
