I brought my 2005 ************** to this shop around 10/1/23. After explaining there was a leak and dropping it off, I got a call from ****** stating "radiator isn't leaking we did a pressure test". I replied I just wanted the leak fixed as it leaks after it heats up. (I am not a mechanic, and shouldn't have to diagnose anything myself, this is autoworks job). I went ahead and went with the radiator replacement as I thought they inspected the whole system, they did not. Two days later it was leaking worse, and by the 4th day it was spraying like a hose. Took it back in and was told "there's a hole in the coolent hose"?? After paying $806.52 for a $300 radiator, I had to pay for the original problem $123.20. Asked <********** believe > why it wasn't diagnosed correctly and was told "well the radiator was leaking so.." I replied "that's not what ****** said after doing a pressure test." Then the **** said " then you chose to do the radiator". I replied "I told ****** I wanted the leak fixed and done the right way, im not a mechanic otherwise i would have diagnosed it correctly, not paid $800 for a $300 part and put it in myself." Guy didn't want to reply me after that, just get payment and get rid of me. Then, looking online I saw the book prices on doing both hoses upper and lower was around $125, while they charged me that much for just the lower hose, and calling it a discount. This shop defrauded me out of around $930, and I have complained about it to them, and online and have been ignored.

****************** reached out to us inquiring about a radiator replacement cost because he believed that his original radiator had a leak and another shop told him that he needed a radiator replaced. On 10/2/2023 he brought the vehicle into us, and we pressure tested the cooling system and confirmed that his radiator was leaking. We matched the price quoted over the phone which was $800 for parts, labor and tax (We even included a new radiator cap at no charge) and replaced the leaking radiator on his vehicle. Upon completion of repairs, we re-tested the system and released the vehicle to ******************. Eight days later he brought the vehicle back into us on 10/10/2023 and claimed that he had another leak. We again pressure tested the vehicle and found an old hose had split open and was spraying coolant out. We informed ****************** of the repairs needed and he approved the work to be done. We replaced the failed hose and upon completion of repairs, we re-tested the system and once again released the vehicle to ******************. We were then notified that he had left several terrible reviews for us across the internet that had resulted in online arguments with current customers, with the intent to slander and defame our company. Almost a year later he is now reaching out to you at the BBB. The vehicle mentioned is almost 20 years old with over ******* miles. 38 of ****************** 40 online reviews are 1-star complaints with the hopes of getting something for free.

I am rejecting this response because: the response is a lie, I was told over the phone that the radiator was NOT leaking. They did not test the system correctly otherwise they would have found the hose leak. Upon dropping the vehicle off, I stated "I think the radiator is leaking" the response I got was "we'll take a look". Again, ****** told me the radiator was not leaking, and I told him "something is leaking when the car is heated up". In hindsight, a true mechanic would have checked the hoses after I said it leaks after heating up. I told ****** I need the leak fixed where I was told "we can replace it", in which I went for as I didn't know they really didn't check the system correctly. When I confronted **** when bringing my car back and picking it up from spending more for the hose, he lied saying the radiator was leaking, when ****** told me it was not. Being my car is 20 years old, wouldn't it be logical to check the hoses? They did not, it's not slandering the business if they continually lie,  and didn't diagnose the problem correctly. I didn't bring it to their shop because it wasn't leaking. Then saying I was getting discounts is just poor business tactics.

      Sincerely,
