My name is *********************** I contacted restoration King in June of 2023. A supervisor named *** and a crew came out my basement had flooded we agreed to have their services he went through all the amenities and we began to fix my flooded basement by rolling the carpets back cutting the mats placing numerous fans for 5 days to dry them out, return with a crew and restore the mats roll the carpets back and return the trim on the floor to the exact state. *** contacted me after this was done at the stage said that he was sick and that he requested me to keep the fans there for five days until he could return with a crew and complete the job I did so the crew came back, restored the mats rolled the carpet back set them in all the goods and services per a receipt that's been paid on July 15th that year we're done the job was completed and my ***** ********** has proof that the check was cashed by them and it shows paid. They've subsequently had an attorney that's been harassing me on the phone and through letters say that they demand $1,100, which I have no intention of paying I've contacted the owners talk to them they continue with this harassment. They're nefarious they have a reputation of doing this kind of double billing and nefarious billing practices and if my credit is affected at All by this I will have to file criminal charges and I want their accreditation taken from them and I want no more harassment from them they have been paid the job was completed and I want to move forward. I've talked to a woman who represented herself as the owner she agreed and said she would get back to me and I continue to get harassment from a scumbag attorney and letters, threaten me and I want them backed off no further action by them towards my credit or to contact me or my family in any way shape or form I believe that this company has done this before I'd like to have their record comprehensively looked at to show that this is a pathological behavior on their part with customers that continues.Business response

Restoration King performed a mitigation service at ****************** on 6/15/23. Our arrival time was between 11:30am and 12:30 pm. At this point an agreement was signed with a contract which ***** entered with Restoration King to mitigate the water damage by removing some of the baseboards, carpet pad and lifting some of the carpeting. We set 1 dehumidifier and 3 air movers to dry the structure. Restoration King left the equipment for 5 days to insure the proper drying of the structure. IICRC standards are 3-5 days to dry most materials. The invoice reflected only 2 days of drying which the price of $940.00 was still honored even though a total of 5 days of equipment was used. Reconstruction began on 6/21/23. Removing all equipment, replacing baseboards everything except carpet. We arrived on 6/26/23 and finished the reconstruction process. Typically, after mitigation there is a period of nothing being done while we wait for insurance approvals before starting reconstruction. In this case We made the reconstruction happen immediately to speed the process up for customers convenience. I believe the disconnect in all of this is because after reconstruction we took until 10/11/23 to invoice the customer for the reconstruction. Having the gap in time the customer could have thought the invoice of $940.00 was the total for the project in its entirety. We did send and clarify the reconstruction invoice of $1129.55 in October. Unfortunately, even though the delay of invoicing the time and materials of the reconstruction still need to be attended too. The invoice shows (by line item) what work we did to fix the structure back to pre-loss condition. Even in the delay of invoicing the fact remains the invoice needs paid. We hope the customer understands and empathizes with our position. We do understand that there could be some confusion in the delay of billing, but the invoice explanation is very evident.
Thank you
