I signed up to receive leads with solarreviews.com aka Solar Investments in 3/2023. In April I emailed *************************** to pause lead services and on 5/4 I told him I didn't want leads till Nov. Then on 8/22 I emailed *************************** to cancel my account until further notice. ***** responded on 8/23 to "Go to your dashboard, click campaigns and youll see a toggle thats red. Click that toggle green to turn it on and then click it again and pause permanently, so you'll have to turn it back on.". I proceeded to do this on their website as I no longer wanted leads from their company. So now according to what ***** told me, my lead service should have been paused permanently. After cancelling the services I started receiving an onslaught of emails from *************************** and emails and calls from *************************** between Sept-Oct trying to get me to start the services up again as they were cancelled. On one of the many calls we received from ******, my wife told him we have no interest in leads yet he kept calling and leaving voicemails. 5 Voicemails in total, last one was 11/31 of ****** wanting to see if we wanted to get leads going again since they were cancelled. Then Nov 1-7, the company sent us 9 leads even after we cancelled services and ran our card on file $947. Then refused to refund us even though services had been cancelled and were never restarted. And while they were sending us leads, both ***** and ****** were still trying to get our business back because they knew we had cancelled our services. In fact, ***** sent us an email 10/27 "Where did we drop the ball in keeping your business?" and then ***** responded to his own email 11/4 "I've reached out a couple times now...Where do you think we should go from here?" ****** was still sending us emails 11/6 about giving us free leads to do a demo about their services to possibly restart the leads. Yet when we asked for a refund for the $947 they refused and have not responded to any of our emails since then.

*** did not login to our dashboard and follow *****'s instructions as he claims. See attached logs.  You can see that the first login after 8/23 (the date *** says ***** provided instructions) is 9/13.

*****'s email correspondence clearly explains the situation and what **** needed to do as his account has set for auto-reactivation. Further to that, the 9 leads that *** is requesting a refund for were sent to him via Text and email over a 7 day period. If *** thought the campaign was off, why would he have not taken action the second he received the first lead?
*** set out to defraud us with no intention of paying for the leads he received.

*** has also processed a chargeback through his credit card company, so we cannot issue a refund while the charge is disputed.

I am rejecting this response because: See the attached PDF of documentation and correspondence from solarrieviews ****** and *****. Screenshots of emails included in PDF. I need my credit card to not be refunded by solarreviews, not recharged, and no further charging to occur.

Aug 22nd, I emailed requested to permanently freeze my account. ***** sent the email on how to do it, however I wanted to directly talk on the phone, so then I spoke with ***** the following Monday and I verbally told ***** over the phone I wanted to indefinitely terminate my account. ***** said he would take care of it. At this point, I was under the understanding that my account was indefinitely frozen aka cancelled.

At this point I was told by ************ would no longer be receiving leads, my account was permanently on hold. Then I started receiving emails from ***** and another guy named ******, who constantly called me trying to earn my business back. WHY WOULD YOU BE CALLING ME TRYING TO GET MY BUSINESS BACK IF MY ACCOUNT WASNT CANCELLED??? Even after you sent me leads, ****** was emailing me trying to get my business back and have me do trials.

Sept 11, ****** left me a voicemail saying he wanted to help me get my account started again and you guys have new features. (CLEARLY ****** THOUGHT MY ACCOUNT WAS CANCELLED, OTHERWISE WHY WOULD HE BE SOLICITING MY BUSINESS????)

Sept 18th, ****** called again and said he wanted to see about getting our account active again. He only left a partial voicemail because then my wife picked up the phone and spoke with him. She told him we had no interest in any leads and the services were garbage. (AND ***** LATER CLAIMS THAT ****** NEVER SPOKE TO MY WIFE, NOT SURE HOW HE WOULD KNOW THAT BECAUSE HE WASNT A PART OF THE CONVERSATIONAGAIN ANOTHER LIE FROM *****)

Oct 11th, ****** left another voicemail trying to get our business back.

On Oct 17th, *************************** sent an email trying to get our business back and offered us free leads as our account had been canceled.

Oct 19th, ****** left another voicemail for me, checking in and wanting to get our services started up again.
On Oct 20th, ***** sent me an email, again trying to get my business back. People dont do that for non-cancelled accounts.

Then again Oct 25th, ****** sent an email wanting to give us free leads and give us a demo because we had cancelled our services and he was trying to earn our business back.

Then Oct 27th, ***** sent me an email asking me where they dropped the ball in keeping my business. That clearly means I cancelled, and why did you guys not keep my business. Another email, trying to get me to start my services back up, just days before you sent me unwanted leads.

Oct 31st, ****** left another voicemail (ALL OF WHICH I HAVE RECORDINGS OF). Again wanting to get our business started up and to see what it would take. THIS IS A DAY BEFORE YOU ALL STARTED SENDING US UNWANTED LEADS CLAIMING WE NEVER CANCELLED OUR SERVICES. Why would any company call over and over and over again, email and email over and over again wanting to start someones services if they werent cancelled. What would have been the point to call us on Oct 31st to try and get our business back if apparantley our services were going to start up again Nov 1st. Oh wait, there isnt because both *****, ****** and I all know that the services were cancelled.
Then Nov 4th, After I received unwanted leads, ***** sent me another email trying to earn my business back while they were sending me unwanted leads on a cancelled account.

Nov 6th, ****** sent another email still trying to obtain our business because again it had been cancelled, yet your company was sending us unwanted leads. So your sales rep ****** had us on the list of cancelled accounts to call and email, yet you claim we didnt cancel our account. And again, Nov 6th he was still trying to obtain our business, after we had received unwanted, unwarranted leads.

As to why I didnt take action right away when receiving leads, this email is not monitored regularly as I only used it for solar lead generation and was no longer using lead generation. I didnt receive any text notifications about leads received either. When I did notice I received leads, I called in immediately to see why I was receiving leads and to put a stop to it. Then ***** proceeds to tell me he is going to send me to collections and wasnt trying to help resolve the situation. I wasnt trying to defraud SolarReviews, ***** and ****** and SolarReviews was trying to defraud me and take money from someone who had no use for their lead service. They continually bombarded me with emails and phone calls trying to get my business back, then sent me unwanted leads claiming my account wasnt cancelled, all at the same time calling me and sending me emails to try and get my business back, even while sending me leads that I wasnt asking for. It is simple. Give me a refund for the leads you charged me for. Accept the dispute with the credit card company. It is clear I didnt want the leads, I was as well as ****** and ***** were under the impression my account was cancelled, otherwise they wouldnt have been calling me, emailing me to try and get me to come back. Why are you trying to steal from the little guy for leads that CLEARLY were not wanted?

during my boarding process (that they have recorded) was misled on how they would sell me their leads, was told I would get a refund at any time and was told that $2000 credit would be used first! When I asked for my refund they stated that they don't refund and I am out of luck. They are selling me do not call leads. Both management and my rep are aware of what is going on.

After reviewing all the email correspondence as well as phone and video calls, your account manager made it clear that any/all lead credit gets used before the signup bonus and that you were not misled on how we generate or sell our leads. The lead you are referring to as a "Do Not Call" lead, requested to be taken off the list over a week after we delivered the lead to you.
It seems clear to us that you never intended on paying for the leads and are using this review platform to "strong arm" us into refunding you for a product that we delivered in accordance with the terms and conditions you agreed to.

I am rejecting this response because:  Better Business Bureau,
I am writing to express my rejection of the response provided by Solar Review regarding my case. Despite their attempt to address my concerns, I find the explanation insufficient in light of the ongoing issues I have experienced with their service.
The primary reason for my rejection is the consistent misleading information provided by Solar Review agents from the outset of our engagement and throughout the duration of our association. I have a substantial record of emails containing misinformation, particularly instances where they assured me of "no charge" without reflecting such adjustments on my account. Management from Solar review miss lead us from the start and throughout the time we been with them. I have plenty miss information emails of them claiming "no charge" and not applying it to our account. I feel like they took advantage us. All i asked for is my $2,000 credit that was promised that I can get at any time!  Moreover, my dissatisfaction stems from the perception that Solar Review took advantage of our situation. The promise of a $2,000 credit, given the condition that I spend $8,000 to "try their proven system," was a key factor in my decision to engage with their services. Regrettably, despite meeting the specified criteria, I have encountered considerable difficulty in obtaining the promised credit.
To facilitate a fair resolution, I request a thorough investigation into the matter. I believe a closer examination of the documented email correspondences and the details of the promised credit will reveal the extent of the discrepancies.

      Best,

      ************

      Sincerely,

      *******************
