      I texted the owner on the online phone number that was given to me to cancel my membership after not seeing the owner in the gym for several weeks. A month went by after I said God be to the staff I had worked with on January 28, 2024. I was then charged again in February and March. I called asked left a voicemail message asking why I was still being charged. I received a voicemail a couple days later stating that they never received my message that I requested to cancel. I talked to staff about leaving on January 28th. I messaged, like I was required to, to give the owner 30 days to end the * payment. It is late April and I attempted to go in to talk 3 more times and he wasnt there or was only available when I had to be at work. After I talked to the coach that saw me last who was surprised that my file hadnt been cancelled two months earlier did the owner message me saying he cancelled my account immediately. That was two weeks ago. I then froze my card and ordered a new one so that I wouldnt be charged again by this business. Since midnight April 29th, I received two attempts to charge my old and currently frozen card. $125 charge each attempt. I visited the store, the owner wasnt there and one of the coaches took a note for me after asking how I was doing since leaving months ago... If this charge had gone through, that wouldve made it $375.

      I received this email yesterday.  I called the number and they told me it was for Aprils bill.  I will not pay for services I did not request and requested cancelled.

      Cancellation of Membership requires a written notice or a meeting with me personally, as stated in your contract. The first I had heard of you wanting or claiming to have cancelled your membership was on April 15th via message from a trainer. I reached out to you immediately on that day and explained the contract via phone message and Text message. I made it clear I would be at the gym the next day, or you could be reach me on my personal phone.  To be civil I cancelled the membership immediately, despite being entitled to the next payment again via your contract. You, replied "I will be in tomorrow to discuss further".

      Next day, I waited, and you didn't show or attempt to reach me. I sent you another message to encourage a conversation and no reply. Just a BBB complaint 2 months later.

      I am accepting this response with conditions because:

      It wasnt about the conversation that occurred on April 16.  Your evening trainers had known since January that I was cancelling.  Theyve even greeted me asking how Ive been since I cancelled and wondered if I was interested in coming back when Ive come in to talk about this cancellation issue.  I wasnt aware that you werent at the gym in the new year in the evening hours until they told me on April 15 but I messaged the number you gave me and you had messaged me from in November and December.  Ive come to find out it was business phone number.

      My issue is that 9Round is still attempting to take money and emailing me as if my account was not cancelled.  And now they are asking for two months worth of payments.  Im not paying it.  You cancelled the membership after I lost $250.  Im not giving you $250 more.  Our business has concluded.  Please tell 9Round to stop attempting to withdraw money.  Ive cancelled the card and my bank is aware of the unauthorized charges.

      The messages we shared said nothing about continued payments.

      I just received another notice of an attempt to withdraw money from my cancelled credit card.  The amount attempted to withdraw has increased again.  Can you please put this with my complaint file #********.  Thank you for your time and help with this matter.   I was thinking that this complaint might need to shift to corporate 9Round Kickboxing.

      I have not received any messages from my bank in the past week of attempts to withdraw money.  I conclude that this complaint can be closed.  Thank you for your help.
