In July 2023, prior to the intended burial, we paid the total amount of $6,999.13 to "St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery" in ******, ******** which falls under Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery and the Denver Archdiocese, for a planned burial of our son ***** on 26 July 2023. We had paid the amount of $6,999.13 to St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery BEFORE 26 July 2023 with a credit in Full!On 25 July 2023 we were informed that my son's oldest children, the legal next of kin to our son, canceled the burial and told us that they were going to burn/cremate our only son instead of giving him a final resting place. We had paid in full but though as ***** biological mother - my son's two oldest children were the legal next of kin and my son's ex told us that "you have no rights" - my son's ex wife had manipulate the two grandchildren to burn our son against our wishes!We were told that because there is two day cancelation requirement which was not observed - again, not our fault, but the grandchildren who were manipulated by our son's ex wife, we still had to pay for: "opening and closing ground and a vault" - in the amount of $2,430. This price just for opening and closing the ground with machinery and a vault that can be reused by another customer seems very excessive for a few hours of labor.So far, since 26 July 2023 we have called the St. Simeon, Mount Olivet and Denver Archdiocese office at least four times and talked to manager *** and other staff members requested the refund check in the amount of $4,569.13 because we MUST pay our credit card which the amount was charged to and we ARE BEING CHARGED FOR INTEREST of the entire amount of $6,999.13 we took out for the burial! Due to the Archdiocese countinued failure to provide the refund, we are asking for interest on the amount do to us since 26 July 2023!Denver Archdiocese is NOT paying their obligation to us, we are being charged by our credit card for the interested on the entire amount!Customer response

The cemetery personnel in charge keeps jerking us around, every time we call or email them they tell us: "we are processing the refund" - we have been waiting for our REFUND SINCE JULY 27, 2023! THEY COULD HAVE SIMPLY REFUNDED THE MONEY DUE TO US BACK ON THE CREDIT CARD! But for their FAILURE to provide the refund in a timely manner, we are being charged interested since 27 July by the credit card company! THEREFORE WE WANT INTREST FOR THE **** THIS BUSINESS HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE REFUND TO US! That means the REFUND amount of $4,569.13 PLUS the interest are we being charged for that amount! My husband is a 100% service disabled ******* Veteran! ****** and *******************************
