In June of 2023, MDK Mechanical, LLC (** **** ******** * *** ***** ** ***** ********* **) installed a ********** mini split system at my home at a cost of $9,465.15. The system worked fine until the middle of Dec 2023. After contacting MDK several times, Mark K******* finally came to look at the system on 2/7/2024. Mark diagnosed the problem as a bad solenoid that would have to ordered. I contacted MDK numerous times over the next few months and was told the part was still on back order. Finally, on or about 5/7/2024 I was told by MDK that the part was still not available so I contacted another contractor (*** **** ******) who came to check out the system. This time the diagnosis was a leaking flare joint that caused the freon level to drop too low for the system to produce warm and/or cool air. I was also informed that MDK used improper wiring between heat pump and indoor heads. Piping and wiring for one of the indoor heads were replaced. The system was evacuated, tested for leaks and new freon was added. The system worked fine and there was no need to replace a solenoid as MDK stated. Due to subpar workmanship during installation, failure to properly diagnose the problem and the use of improper material and by MDK, I was without the use of the mini split system for more than 5 months and I incurred charges of $2,198.89 to get the system up and running again. I also have an estimate for $2,462.00 to replace the improper wiring between the heat pump and the other two indoor units.Initial Complaint

Mark from MDK came to my home on Dec 20th 2023 to install a faucet on my jacuzzi tub, he went into my basement to turn off the water and was down there for a few min when he then came upstairs to ask me how long my tankless gas water tank was losing water. I’m in the basement every morning and nothing was wrong with the water heater. He made some calls and was able to locate the model I needed. He told me I should tip the guy 100$ for going back to the store to open it so I did. He went to get, came back, replaced it (3hours) and then said it was 3,600$. He originally said that was without labor and told me I would have a 10 yr warranty. I made the check out for 3,700$ snd he told me to leave it blank when I asked whom to make it out to. He then left and I had a very weird feeling so the next morning i called a business that sells the units and I went online with my model number and the unit was 1,500$ he over charged me 1,500$ and 400$ for the amount I gave him in cash to fix the faucet which he never came back to fix- I had to hire another person to do that. I then noticed when I pulled up my check online that he filled it out to himself. I still have no warranty or proof of purchase for my unit in case something happens. I have tried multiple times to reach mark leaving text messages and a voicemail and he has avoided all of my responses. I would like my 2,000$ backInitial Complaint

In Sept. 28 2023 MDK (Mark K******* ) told us that we needed a new heating pump which would cost 1800, 2weeks later he said they don't make them anymore because it was over 25 years old then he said we need a new furnace which will cost 90000, we said we will pay half he said they will not except that. We had some issues with the unit he installed. He said we needed a part but never came back. We did try to make appointment with him in April, May of this year. He never came back. When then called someone else to come down and now have a brand new system. That we Finance with a great company, that so far is taking great care of us.
