In October 2021 I went to see Dr DeLaura of **** *** ***** **********, I was seeking relief from chronic degenerative osteoarthreitis. I had asked for a knee brace open popliteal (open in back) however what I received waa "mesh web" looking device that was not open in the back. I called the same day and the response was "you need to give this a chance". My opinion is that this is said so that once beyond the return date you are charged. I returned the brace the next morning. The statement I received stated that I have gotten 2 knee braces when I only received 1 and they never credited my account. I called them up they stated this could take 6 weeks or longer, I also called my insurance company.Business response

I have been actively working on this case.
Pt has provided wrong info to you, we never told him to give it a chance, we told him to return same day to avoid claim processing.
The billing does process overnight, patient was told to returned brace same day as it was our policy, we made an exception and took it back the next day. On his pickup we made sure he tried the brace on, it was fitted and patient stated “ this feel great, it’s like Christmas allover” we have 2 witnesses to this conversation. I m not sure why he right away did not say what he is telling you.
In addition, this is a respond I received from billing on 3/16/22
******- We have been working to get a voided claim on file with this carrier. For some reason we cannot get the claim on file and the balance was then again dropped to the pt. We have moved the bal from pt to ins and continue to work on getting a voided claim on file so a recoup can be taken.
Furthermore, I followed up today when I got new complaint and this is what I received in respond:
******- It does appear that the voided claim was accepted for adjudication on 3/23/2022. Will need to watch for a recoup now.
Also,
I just checked his account and he does not have a balance.

I had called once I got home from **** *** ***** told them this was not what I had wanted. They told me I had that entire day to return it, however I had other appointments that day. The person with whom I spoke stated it would be acceptable if I returned it the next day. That’s exactly what I did bright and early the following morning.
