1. The bar across my garage door that allowed the door to move up and down was loose. I was advised by the Lifetime repairman that the original bar was too short and that I needed a longer bar across my garage door. The longer bar was necessary to off load the weight of the door. The repair job was performed on my garage door 2/12/22. The new bar that was installed detached within one months time causing damage to the top where it attaches.. I placed numerous calls to no avail. I was finally able to reach someone on June 28, 2022. I was first advised that their records did not show a bar was installed so they would not be able to come back. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was advised to send a picture, which I sent on June 29, 2022. I was then advised by the company that I would have to pay a minimal labor charge to have a tech return to fix the problem. Since the bar coming off was due to poor workmanship/incorrectly installed I do not feel I should have to pay for a return visit. 2. The service charge for the worked performed was processed through my ** **** account twice on the same day by Lifetime. One time for $212.94 and a second time for $212.92. The Lifetime representative requested proof of the transaction so that their accounting department could refund the monies . On June 28, 2022 I sent the page from the bank statement showing the completed transaction. To date they have not refunded the money. I am requesting a refund of all monies paid which totals $425.86 so that I can have someone else do the job properly. I have waited approximately 7 months for them to resolve this issue. I cannot use the garage door opener to raise the door or keep it closed. Without the proper bar in place the garage door can be opened from the outside allowing the security of my home to be compromised.
