In May 2022, BBB contacted New York Design Hub regarding claims in its advertising, including: 
"100+ Rhodes Qualified Logo Artists." 
"Our partners" This portion of its website includes logos for Google, Hubspot, FB, zendesk, bing, and teamwork. 
"Logo types that rule the world" includes logos for Disney, FedEx, and Adidas.

The BBB Code of Advertising states the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.  BBB requested that New York Design Hub provide substantiation and/or clarification for these claims and explain the nature of these partnerships and their authorization to use the logos of these businesses, but did not receive a reply.

Its website states they have provided "92897+Logo Design," "8379+Parallax Websites," "5085+Mobile Websites," "12998+ Responsive Websites," "8487+ Ecommerce Websites" and are responsible for "5000+ Projects Delivered," "250+ Business Solutions," and "45834+ Satisfied Clients."  New York Design Hub did not provide the requested substantiation for these claims. 

The statement "Our Work Speaks Louder Than Words – It Actually Bagged Recognition and Appreciation From Prestigious Institutions" on New York Design Hub's website is followed by logos for Global Product Design Forum (GPDF), Most Creative Logo Concept, International Design Development Awards (IDDW), gfs Awards USA Best Innovative website, and Design Dot Awards Best Branding Campaign. The business states "Awards and Recognitions We've been Honored & Recognized for our Outstanding Achievements in the Industry" include Zend Engineer Excellence, Design Excellence DE 2014, CDA Communication Design Award 2013 & 2012, Magento Certified Solutions, and Graphic Creatives Award 2013-14.  New York Design Hub did not provide substantiation for these awards and recognition. 

Its website states it has "Certified industry designers" and its listing at StartUs.com states "We are the best SEO Company in New York and we have certified SEO experts dedicated to your success."  The business did not provide proof of these certifications.

Information in BBB files indicates the company began business in September 2021. New York Design Hub's website states "Over 10 Years of Experience in the Online Design Industry."  Its trustpilot.com listing states the business was "...founded in 2010 at Connecticut Financial Center" while its listings at TopDigitalAgency.com and StartUs.com give its business start date as 2017. New York Design Hub did not clarify or provide substantiation for its business start date.

According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance or efficacy for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. BBB requested that New York Design Hub provide documentation in support of the claim "Our success rate is 100%"  but did not receive a reply.  

Its website and online advertising offer a "100% money back guarantee" and a "100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE;" however, its Terms and Conditions page states "..sales are final and no refunds shall be issued by New York Design Hub" while its Privacy page states "Money-back guarantee will only be applicable if the initial designs are completely rejected by the client." The BBB Code of Advertising states advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. BBB requested that New York Design Hub clarify its "100% money back guarantee" policy and consider modifying the claims but did not receive a response. 

Most of the prices for its different packages are are advertised with two prices: a lower price and a higher price, with a strike through the higher price. Advertisers may offer a price reduction or savings by comparing their selling price with their own former selling price; the current selling price of identical services sold by others in the trade area; or the current selling price of a comparable service sold by the advertiser or by others in the trade area.  In each case, the advertisement must clearly and conspicuously disclose which basis of comparison is being used.  In addition, its All Inclusive Branding Solution lists this price as "$1499 $4999 80% off," with a strike though $4999.  A business may offer a price reduction, but it must be temporary and should not exceed thirty days; otherwise, the advertiser must be prepared to substantiate that the offering is still a valid price reduction and has not become its regular price. BBB requested that the business explain the basis for its price comparison and tell BBB when this price reduction began and its anticipated ending date, but did not receive a response..  

The location for the business on its website is listed as New Haven, Connecticut; however, several of its online listings indicate New York Design Hub is based or headquartered in New York City. Its website's Terms and Conditions state that any legal claims against the firm fall under the "exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in Sindh, regarding any and all disputes relating to your Contract or these Terms and Conditions." BBB requested that the business clarify its current addresses and headquarters and explain why any disputes would be handled in a court located outside of the United States, but did not receive a reply.
