I took my vehicle 2018 ******** ****** in for service on Monday August 29,2022 due to a leak in the radiator, bad window motor and a slow leak in my front driver side tire. After 5 days in this establishment I picked my car up on Friday September 02, 2022. I was charged $44 to repair two tires. As I left the shop the low pressure light came on for my front driver side tire. I immediately called the repair shop and was told to bring it back. I returned within a few minutes and was told they did fix it and they would be available to replace it when I needed it. Because of my work schedule and other personal reasons I was not able to go somewhere else to get it repaired until today September 27th. I took my car to Town fair tire to get the same tire repaired. I was notified by one of the service mechanics that my tire was poorly patched by a “ cheap” piece of material that was not good to repair tires. As a consumer it is very disheartening feel that I was taken advantage of.

Ms. ******* brought her vehicle for repairs to be done on August 29th. Some of these parts needed to be ordered from the dealer which prolonged the repair time. She also wanted the TPMS light checked. The technician checked the tires and the pressure was low, further investigation showed she had two objects in the Left front and right rear. We removed the objects in a attempt to repair. ( The repairs would not last) At that point she was called about needing two tires replaced, Ms. ******* declined the replacement of the tires at this time and would get tires replaced on her own.  We did a temporary repair, do to the fact this vehicle doesn't come with a spare, so she could bring it to a tire shop. After 3 weeks looks like she did finally bring it to a tire shop and they agreed with us that the tires needed to be replaced. We never intended to have her wait 3 weeks to address a problem with the tires. On the repair order she provided you clearly states "recommend two tires replaced"

We do not thinks this was a problem caused by us, it was a existing condition in which she didn't want corrected at the time of her visit. If she would like her $ 44.00 dollars refunded she can stop in and talk to the owner John M********Or

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******

As I previously stated I did return to the repair shop after driving only 2 blocks to inform them that that low pressure light was on. I was told to return to the shop which I did and although they took my keys as if they were going to look at it they did not. I was told that the mechanic said he repaired the tire. After paying for the service I think it should have lasted for more than 2 blocks. As for finally getting it properly repaired 3 weeks later that was the only time I had available. I however had had to constantly put air in it to get around. This is precisely why I did not return a second time to express my concerns because I knew they would have been unnoticed and not concerned. Also be advised I was told by ******* that I was charged an administrative fee which I should not have been.

The customer was well aware the vehicle needed tires as described in the invoice. She stated she couldn't afford tire at this point and would do it at a later date. As I stated before this vehicle doesn.t have a spare, I do not think she would have been happy if she needed the vehicle towed because we didn't attempt a temporarily repair the tire until she secured funds to replace the tires. We can't advise on a tire repairs until we remove the object, at the point the customer declined the tire replacements. Not sure what she expected us to do. As stated before if she would like her $ 44.00 dollars back, she is more then welcome to come in an talk to the owner John or myself (Art) We were trying to help out a financially strapped individual.

*** *** seems to think that we work for free. They expect us to mediate between their customer and their warranty company. Expecting endless option on parts pricing  and availability, photo's to be taken sent to them for approval, They set a price that is expected to be performed at little to no profit, and wonder why we charge administration fee. Most of the time the vehicles are taken apart to be diagnosed, only to have to put them back together because the insurance company can't make a decision on repair cost. *** *** sold the warranty and has already made their profit. I'm guessing they are the only one's in business to make a profit

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******

As stated before I was told by ******* the agreement with this company was not to charge administrative fees. I declined the offer to replace the tires because the tires are in good condition. As far as the refund I won’t waste my time because after all I am financially strapped. I was also advised that they are no longer being used by ******.

This response originally started with the tires you needed and declined to get replaced. We offered you a refund for the attempted repair, do to the fact you do not have a spare tire to put on your car. You stated this wasn't something you were finically able to do at this time. You stated the tire was low on air and needed it repaired if possible. The repair order states that the warning light on the dash is on steady (TPMS) If your tires where fine, then that warning light would not have been on.

As far as the administration fee, this fee is charged on ever insurance job that comes into our repair shop. Similar to your deductible fee you are charged from your *** *** warranty, Car insurance or a Medical facility. This covers a multitude of services which some how they assumed are free, WE dropped *** *** they didn't drop us. They some how think they are in charge of our day to day operations and can dictate our repair policies and procedures.

Maybe you can take up the tire issue with the insurance company that *** *** sold you. Maybe they should have covered the tire replacement for you after all you purchased the policy for vehicle repairs.
