I am writing this complaint regarding the terrible experience I had with ********* ********** where I hosted a part on 05/13/2023. The party was originally booked on 02/06/2023 where a deposit was given of $200.00 and a menu with pricing (27.95 pp) was handed to us so we can pick our selections,we were also told we would have the room until 4:00. The week of the party I received a call from Theresa and was told that the price on the paper was incorrect and they would be charging $41.95 a person ( a significant change in pricing). After many phone calls and lots of unneccessary stress, they agreed to honor the original pricing. We added appetizers on (stuffed breads and meatballs for an additional $6.00 a person). What we were given was half a stuffed bread per table, and each table had a different bread. When asked for a different variety the waitress went and got leftovers off another table (GROSS). People were in the middle of taking bites, and they were cleaing their plates and rushing us through. We brought our own cookies, which kept being moved to the coffee table, and the boxes to take them home were taken out as soon as we started cutting the cake. I have never felt so rushed in my entire life. We also never received the desserts that were included in our package. Whatever they could have done to cut costs to make up for their pricing error was done! It was so embarassing, and left such a sour taste in my mouth. The error was not on our part and should have never been reflected on the quality of service we received. Theresa also called the party a fiascal the day of which was totally unprofessional. I also noticed that when we were given our bills, they added the tax and did the tip percentage of 20% with the total + tax (which should not include the tax!). 20% is ridiculous to charge for tip for a buffet service, when drinks were also in pitchers on the table, and they did not refill any of the appetizers. All in all a disgusting experience!
