I called Appliance HD 9/19 for repair of my washing machine on 9/12/22. I was told there was a $70 fee for the visit and diagnostics, but that if we chose them for the repair, this money would be included in the total cost. A technician was sent to my house on 9/14/22. Dino ******* (dbremodeling.net). He advised that I could pay $195 per hour to diagnose the washer or if I payed a flat rate of $295 that would include any repairs/parts needed. He also indicated that the $70 I paid to Appliance HD would not cover any of the repair. I immediately felt suspicious but allowed him to proceed. He also asked to borrow my **** *** and said he would give me a discount for doing this. He was here for less than 30 minutes and told me the machine was fixed but the washer drain pump was "on it's last legs" and would need to be replaced soon. He gave me a $25 "discount" for loaning him my **** *** and said he did not take credit cards and to pay **** ***** on ***** $275. I paid and never received an invoice or receipt. for work done. I went to use the washer after he left and it still had the same problem and was not fixed. I called him at ###-###-#### and he told me I would owe him money to come back out for diagnostics and that he would order a washer pump for $104. I argued with him and he said he would not charge labor but would charge me for the part. I got a text yesterday 9/15 saying the pump would cost $117 with the tax and shipping. I don't want this person back at my house as he has a very bad reputation on Yelp and online and I want ApplianceHD to refund my $70 and I want the $275 back from **** *******. This has been a very bad experience. I called ApplianceHD and they tell me a manager will get back to me but nobody ever does.

Hired the company to fix a refrigerator. Dino came out and said the repair would be $2000+. Ordered the parts and scheduled to install them at 8:00 am on 7/6. I arranged for somebody to be at the house while I was at work. He didn’t show up until 11;00, wouldn’t respond to phone calls or texts to update what was going on. Next morning the fridge was back at 80 degrees. I called frustrated about the situation. Said I wanted a refund. He told me the parts are non refundable. I said we could resolve 1x1 or involve others. He said he’d come back out or I can go elsewhere and hung up. Wouldn’t take my calls. After repeated calls he answered and told me to deal with the office and hung up again. Office called and offered to send Dino back out while I’m at work. Said it wouldn’t work and I don’t want him near my home. Send somebody else. They are coming Saturday. I’ll post update if requested, but others need to know level of service

Contractor came over to check the problem. After checking out, he provided a detail of how their business is run and what will happen next. He said he needs to order a new part for dishwasher. It was take 2-3 weeks. He needs me to-pay him so he can order the part. He collected $400 cash and asked to send a text with my number ( attached a copy of text) He said he will call once the part is in. He texted in between but didn’t call and I made calls after 3 weeks. He said he will show up on Friday with a new part. He showed up, put the part in and said part failed and now he will need to order a new part. It will take few weeks. After few weeks and no communication, i asked to cancel the part and return my remaining balance as i will just go ahead abcs but a new dishwasher. He said called the office and request a refund. I did called the office and office manager said she sent me a check already which i never received. I continue calling but they do not answer the phone. Really bad service and they take money and do not do the work. Horrible business I am requesting a refund of my remaining balance.

I am putting in a complaint on behalf of my elderly parents who had and still have a problem with their washing machine. My parents called ###-###-#### and got the company called ********* ****** as my parents explained they needed a machine repair person to come, ********* ****** said in order to have any company come my parents needed to pay $70.00 which my parents paid in order to have a scheduled appointment and ********* ****** said they would get a call from a different party. On June 3, 2022 Dino S******* co-owner which also goes by the name Dino of D & B Remodeling called and scheduled an appointment to come to my parents home for June 6 2022. On June 6, 2022 Mr. S******* if that is his real name , who also goes by the name Dino, came gave a business card with information license #: *********** *** ******** ****** ***** ***** ******** ** (***** ** * *********** *********** ****) ###-###-####, ###-###-#### and proceeded to look at the machine and said to my parents they would need a part that cost $340.00 cash and he needed to order same. My parents paid cash Mr. S******* again if that is his real name, which goes by the name Dino, said he would order a part and come back June 10, 2022 or June 13, 2022. We have made numerous phone calls to both ********* ****** and D&B Remodeling & Appliance and To date nothing has been resolved every time we call both companies they hang up on us and never respond. My parents are out $70.00 as well as $340.00. Please advise how these companies both can scam and be in business still.

I Called Appliances HD to have my refrigerator looked at because it was making a buzzing noise. They sent Dino S****** from D&B Remodeling and Appliance. The refrigerator worked when he came to my home. He took out the fan and went to his truck to look for the part to repair it. He came back and the fan was dead. He tried to tell me a piece was burned out...I did not see any burn marks on the piece. He proceeded to order the new part and charged me $453.77. I had also had to pay Appliances HD a $70 fee to send him out. He also broke the water connection to the refrigerator. So, now my refrigerator is dead and I have not 1 issue, but 2. Once he left, I ******* him and went on the BBB website. He is a ***** ** ******* and the BBB website had complaints that sounded just like what happened to me. I called the bank to stop payment, but he already cashed the check. I then called him and told him I did not want him to do the work and I would buy a new refrigerator. I met him at *** ********* in *********** and he gave me back $260 in cash. I am asking for the $195 service charge to be refunded, since my appliance was working before he touched it.

I had another company come by to check the refrigerator and the item that this person said was broken, was not. I also had to pay to have the waterline repaired due to him breaking it on his visit. Any updates are welcome. Thanks, **** ********

I ran a load of laundry on June 1, 2022 ,next day, and the machine continued with same issue of not draining water. Now a new error was present.Phoned Dino and sent pic of error code which now he is attempting to say that it is a new and separate issue which will cost additional money. His tone very condescending and arrogant with her remorse that he did not fix issue.I am seeking refund of original service visit of 469.46.He also had me ***** him the money and did not provide and type of receipt for work completed.

On May 3, Dino S****** came to my house and opened my washing machine saying that all parts and repairs would soft north of $650. He asked me to write him a check to him personally, not to his business and that he would text me a receipt and email me a contract. He asked if I wanted to pay more for expedited shipping for the parts, which I did pay for. When the parts never arrived, I cancelled the service. Three weeks later he only refunded a part of the money saying that he was charging me $195 for his time. What a scammer! I never received a receipt, written contract or anything. He issued the partial refund from a personal ***** account. He should not be in business and not taking advantage of people.

On January 14, 2022 we contacted Appliance HD for a referral for an appliance repair. We were charged $70 by Appliance HD for the referral. The repair company they referred was D&B Remodeling and Appliance Repair. When we made the appointment (January 18, 2022) for D&B Remodeling to come out, we indicated that our Maytag dryer (we supplied the model number) probably needed a new timer. Dino from D&B Remodeling showed up on January 18, 2022 and said the controller needed to be replaced, which he did. We paid $496.88 for parts and labor. Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem. A timer had to be ordered. The timer was installed on January 26, 2022, which fixed the problem. We paid an additional $129.98 for the timer repair. We have seen other very similar complaints on this website, some naming Dino specifically. It seems there is a pattern of replacing expensive parts that are not needed and do not fix the issue, running up the bill unnecessarily. We have repeatedly asked for receipts and repair documentation, which Dino promised, but did not supply. We would like a refund for the first visit of $496.88, since it was clearly not needed and did not solve the problem.
