I went to the UPS store to mail a package on 07/23/2024 at 8:45 am. The package dimensions were not exactly to the inch mark so there was a fractional amount remaining until the next inch. the young girl there added the fractional portion to bring it to the next inch then continued to add an additional inch on top of that, bringing the price up by additional dollars. If it was only by a quarter or so, I wouldn’t have contested it just to get in and get out but when you’re talking multiple dollars that cannot go unchecked I’m not the only person that’s happened to. I cannot be the only person. .I went to another UPS store and they saw exactly how I saw it and added only the fractional portion of the package to bring it up to the next whole inch and that’s what my rate was and that’s exactly what the case is. she is improperly trained or does not know how to use a tape measure, and as a result, customers are getting robbed out of money that they otherwise wouldn’t have to be paying and her insistence upon and her explanation as to why, was just no explanation whatsoever. She said,” that’s what our drivers do”, with no facts behind her statement, which proved to be a lie or at the very least incorrect.Customer response

Apparently, the girl had problems with more than one person that particular day because that is absolutely not where I was shipping and the size of a box that she was referring to has nothing to do with me because I actually had a box with me with the item and she did not know how to properly do the measurements as per the UPS website she added an additional inch on top of rounding up and didn’t bother to round down either on the sizes as Per website instructions. She had absolutely no idea how to do her job properly and apparently other customers had the same issue with her and her incompetence and they chose to do the same as me and not to go with her. she’s young and ignorant, and has every excuse iin the book with no answers to actually back up Argument with facts. So to put it short, this complaint is basically just been ignored once againCustomer response

Good morning stew,
The customer wanted to ship the item with us but didn't want to pay to ship it , which tends to be pricey no matter what. When we went to go ship it and get the information, we do the weight of the box and measure it. So, the measurements came out to be the size of box not the size of the actual item in the box. So, the measurements were 18x16x13 and it made the price differ a bit to ship it. He wanted us to put it in a smaller box which we don’t have in our store we find him the smallest box as we can to fit his item , but the smaller box would only differ the price by a couple of dollars to ship it which the customer said wasn't a big deal and didn't want to pay for the smaller box. So, he wanted to cancel the whole shipment and put it in his smaller box that he said he had at home, and he would come back to ship it again with us for a cheaper price but he didn't come back,
So, he didn't ship it with and don't want to pay for the box, so it's a business and we tried to help him out as we can to give him the best price to ship his item.
At that time, we don't have a smaller box to fit his item.

I returned ****** orders on June 29th at this UPS location and to this day, I still haven’t received a refund from them. I have been trying to resolve this issue with ****** for months now and they keep telling me that the ups store is responsible for the orders I returned since it’s not an ****** issue, and it’s not my issue because I still have the receipt that ups gave me which shows that the packages were dropped off at the store. I will include an image of the receipt, order numbers, and ******* response to my BBB complaint towards them. ****** told me that I need to get this resolved with the ups store that I used to drop off the packages. These orders were not cheap so it’s not something that I can just ignore or let go. ****** claims that they never received the packages and is blaming UPS for that.
