Rich has done a lot of work on our home over the past 6 years. He installed central air conditioning in our log cabin and has run duct work in our basement. He has been over our house numerous times due to the air conditioner not working but he came promptly and fixed the problem. I have no problem with the work that he completed however he insisted on being paid in cash each and every time. Fairly recently my husband filed for a divorce and I had to produce expenses for our home that I had paid for personally. I submitted amounts that I had paid Rich Carlson and he denied that he ever did work on our home or that he got paid in cash. The last time he was here was in the late summer of 2022 where mice had chewed the wires in the air conditioning unit that is outside. He fixed it (it only took 5 minutes) and charged me 50.00. I went to write him a check and he refused the check. He stated that by the time all the charges were taken out he would only be left with about $10.00. I had to go to the bank the next day and get him cash and hide it under a bush next to my mailbox. Later while going through my divorce when I asked him to write a statement that I had paid him cash for work that he completed at my home including installing a $4500.00 air conditioner unit, he stopped communicating with me and told me not to contact him again. I am out approximately $8000.00 worth of work that he completed at my home that my husband should have to pay me back for. Rich is just another greedy worker that takes advantage of the self-employed system. I thought that he was an honest guy when I met him and did not think that I would have any problems with him. Please help. ****** *******

I am very upset with the allegations made by ****** *******,who openly states that I "came promptly and fixed the problem" whenever she called and that she has "no problem with the work (i) completed". I dispute her allegations regarding refusing to be paid by check. I have been in business for over 16 years and take great pride in my work and maintaining an excellent rapport with my customers. ****** *******'s complaints appear motivated and driven by a difficult divorce. I was forced to hire my own attorney after reciving a great number of harassing phone calls, emails and text messages from Mrs. *******. I do not wish to get involved in any dispute between ****** ******* and her husband. My attorney has communicated my position to Mrs. *******'s divorce attorney. I stand by my work and my reputation.
