I had a great experience with this company! They were extremely professional and helpful as my knowledge of specialized insurances was limited. They were absolutely great! Thank you so much!Review from Sarah K

Pushy and misleading. After being confused by their paper mailers which included my loan amount and my lenders name, I called to confirm that it wasn't actually my lender needing more info from me. After requesting to speak to a human, I requested that they no longer send me mail or contact me. Fast forward a few days later and someone from the company has the audacity to send me several text messages. These companies are dishonest and prey on people.Review from Alfredo M

Stay away from this company like the plague. I am an already License agent that was looking for an IMO to work with and I came across Real Financial a branch within FFL. After shopping around I decided to go with another IMO. I had not signed any contracts with FFL and I started receiving emails that I was being contracted with carriers even though I had not singed any contracts. This affected me in ways I cant begin to explain but the big one is that its affecting my financial situation. Real Financial and FFL claims you will be released from your contract with them as soon as your request it and let me tell you that it is a straight lie. If i could attach the email with their response I would to show proof but here is their response to my email asking to be released. " FFL Real Financial is not inclined to grant a release at this time. I would encourage you to discuss direct transfer options with the carrier(s) as an alternative. In other words, certain carriers may allow transfers without the need for a release in some situations and certain carriers may allow you to continue writing under your current agent number while the transfer is taking place." this is a copy and paste from Jessica Escalera reply. I called the carriers and they do not do transfers from agency to agency. You have to be released from the IMO in order to contract with another IMO or not write with the carrier for 6 months for your contract to auto cancel. So what she said is a complete lie. I have my attorney working on getting a demand letter sent and last resort is definitely a lawsuit. I will keep you all updated in the upcoming days and weeks.Review from Tina C

We received a phone call from a guy after we received an official notice with our banks name on it. Other notices came with different states on them. The guy was very persistent and wanted to set up a zoom mtg with my husband and I. I told them no and wanted information sent to my email for review and they ultimately refused to do. The guy didn’t want to take for an answer. Don’t trust them at all. Completely unprofessional!Review from Nena R

been getting back to back calls from ***** call centers that transfer calls to family first life agents in ********. Spoke to Mr Martinez who admitted FFL pays a call center in ***** to find potential customers… funny thing is when you are on the phone with Mr Martinez, these calls keep interrupting, he asks not to answer other calls so I can focus on his call! So they don’t like getting interrupted by the same ppl they pay to bombard our phone! He said once I purchase a policy he would put me in the do not call list! No guarantee the calls would stop indefinitely!!! So you have to buy a policy in order to get some calls to stop! What ever happened to “if I need you… I call you?” Mr Martinez is pushy and persistent on how you need to buy this life insurance! Even if you say there is money to cover a final expense, insists on selling life insurance by saying… “what if there is an emergency and you need to use that money?” What I don’t like is…. He asks for SS number and banking information, as soon as you bring a security concern about giving that info to a random guy who called you from another state, his response is “I’m a good guy!” Like if that is going to make all things better! The fact that he thinks asking a complete stranger for this information is ok!… wish was a way to pursue legally against these companies to make them stop!Review from Kate H

The agents are skilled at misleading people. This company thrives on recruiting people into the scheme thinking they’ll make a ton of money. It is 100% commission based. It works as a middle man for real insurance companies and policies. It’s gross. They have a very high attrition rate. Wonder why?Review from David S

Family First Life sent me a very official looking urgent letter that appeared to be from my lender. The letter requested I immediately call a provided phone number. The number had a recording asking a series of health questions "have you had a heart attack", "do you smoke", etc. The from address on the letter pointed to a mail service company in Nashville, TN. An agent from the company called me and tried to get me to answer more questions. This is when I found out that it was Family First Life. They told me the office was in Washington. When I asked for more detail, she said it was in Bellingham. When I asked for the address so I could visit the office she said they presently don't have visits that everything was virtual. I asked to be removed from the list and never to be contacted. She hung up. They're marketing tactics are tremendously misleading. This is an awful company.Review from Dave E

Today an agent with Family First Life (Dave Shouse) came to my house uninvited and harassed my wife. He held up a copy of an inquiry I filled out as if it somehow constituted an invitation to come to my house and ask intrusive questions. He persisted in asking questions about when I would be home and if I was out to town. My wife told him she was not giving out an personal information. He was inappropriately intrusive with his questions, especially to woman who might be home alone. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.Review from Dolores A

My 75 your old mother was harassed by a employee stating that he was going to come to her house. She informed him that she didn’t want him to come to her house that she felt that it was harassing whatever information that he was going to send her to please send it through the mail. He was very persistent he would not take no for an answer. He stated that I filled something out online I’ve never ever do anything online my daughter always helps me and that was a lie. I am very scared thinking this person is going to show up to my house at any time I don’t want any more phone calls from first family. I would like a response to my complaint and I would like reassurance that I am taken off of your list.Review from Denise R

I currently work as a life insurance agent with another IMO, recently we have experienced FFL agents aggressively poaching several of our agents, messaging them on social media from several different accounts of agents that all work under the same team. Aside from being very unprofessional this has negatively impacted our business, they claim to care about their agents but edify their company by bashing others. It seems they cannot find business partners organically but aim to poach.
