Charlie was recommend to me by NE. Farmhouse when they could not do the complete job. The wife at NE Farmhouse, having worked for Charlie before was his reference.. Charlie's painting skills are excellent. He is not very professional and I felt I was bullied by him as well as one of his workers. He told me that I lived too far from his work place--he is the one that took the job. He repeated talked about his relationaship with his wife not in a positive manner. He tried repeatedly to get me to keep the cabinets I had, to keep the paint color I didn't like and just put black handles on the doors--not my style at all. One of his workers was silent all the time because of Charlie's attempt at humor at the worker's expense. That is what Charlie said it was and I said no one will be bullied in my house. Charlie said the worker did not mind it, and I told him I did. I asked him the price for painting a small wall area. He quoted $375. When it came to pay him, he said $800. He tried to include a fence that got painted when he had thrown the two workers out of the kitchen and asked if they could paint it. Unforturnatly I did not have a contract at that time for the wall job. Charlie caused me a lot of stress and would like to warn others about his lack of integeraty and professionalism.
