I did not see this trasaction until June, when I was reviewing transactions on my Visa account. Max Media Ventures has charged my account monthly for $19.97 from January 2024 until June 2024. On December 15,2023 they charged my account $86.18. I have never bought anything from them. When I called the number next to the charge, I was sent to a customer service center that took my address, phone and email address before they would help me. She said she would transfer me to the correct department and transferred me to Sears Home Warranty, in which I am subscribed to. Kim answered, said she did not see any charges for $19.97, so called Max Media Ventures number. Kim spoke to Chaz, and tried to conference call him in to talk with me as well. He refused to conference me in. So, Kim told me to call my credit card company and report the fraud there. I did and they canceled the card and reset a privacy setting so that no transactions could be made automatically by a company. I had to cancel my card, and order a new one because of Max Media Ventures. BUT HOW did they get my cc info in the first place? How are they connected to Sears Home Warranty? It sounds pretty fishy to me. $206 was taken from my card.

Compressa / Bewell This company does a great job with online advertising and creating reviews. Don’t be fooled…I was The order process is a deluge of pop ups and crap offers… Then…WITHOUT giving you a review page, they place your order…NO REVIEW…They DO NOT ask if order is OK!!!!!!!! Sooo…you get a load of socks and other crap you had no intention of ordering… I started the request to cancel immediately, but they have no recourse. They just screw you in…. Customer service, which is advertised as 24/7, was not available until 8AM. I contacted them at that time and was lied to and told it was already shipped. Then they disallow the USPS delivery instruction function that would allow you to refuse shipment… They figure most folks will just pay up and not bother.. I told customer service I would take the overpriced knee compressors if they cancelled the other items…to no avail This is a despicable bunch…DO NOT BUY!!!!!

I purchased several self defense devices on June1, 2020, in an attempt to protect my 2 daughters and myself. Unbeknownst to me I apparently opted for the FREE warranty, which is a joke, but also they offer a free one month subscription to a webtv site, and if you don’t cxl in 30 days they suck you into monthly charges. This is what happened to me. I do not recall opting up for any of this, but unfortunately I have been charged for 30 months at $19.95. You may ask how I didn’t see this charge, well…i have 2 daughters and charge a good about on my credit card every month. We are a busy family and didn't question the charges until now. I’m disappointed in how this company has taken advantage of my family and our hard earned money. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.

In April I purchased four defense alarms from an online website. When I was checking out I was offered a free flashlight. I accepted but wasn’t aware that by accepting I was agreeing to a subscription to Web TV. I have been billed $19.97 monthly since May. First under the name Back Stage Deals and later under the name Odefense. I called the company last night once I saw the charges and was told I had agreed to the subscription when I accepted the free flashlight. I would never have agreed if I knew I was singing up for a monthly subscription. They sent a screenshot of the page that offers the free flashlight and in very small writing at the bottom of the page is a disclaimer about the subscription. This is clearly a scam to get people to sign up for a service without their knowledge. They refuse to give me my money back for a service I did not use and had no knowledge of until last night. Which further shows that the company is trying to scam people.

I ordered some socks from TryCompresa (Max Media Ventures LLC ) on 4/29/2020. Along with that they are saying that I paid for a warranty on the socks and a subscription to WebTV. I don't believe I did this. I have been charged $19.97 since 4/29/20 on my credit card. I never signed up for WebTV service, I never used it and they will not refund any of my money other than the charge for this month. I find this to be a deceptive practice and would like my money back.

I purchased product from trycompressa.com for $51.67 on my American Express Platinum card. It was a knee sleeve advertised as ONE SIZE FITS ALL. That is to fit ALL....not some, not the average size person....but rather ALL as stated. I contacted them 12/31/21 to return and they sent an RMA with me paying freight. They should pay the freight as the item was falsely advertised. Every time I call them they say a manager is not avail and will call back in 24-48 hours. CRICKETS. Nothing. On 1/14/22 Jerry called and offered 50% off to keep the defective item. I do NOT want to take the 50% off discount. A 50% discount will NOT make it fit. I want to return it and want the return freight in BOTH DIRECTIONS credited to me. They cannot advertise ONE SIZE FITS ALL, WHEN IT DOES NOT FIT ALL. Their claim that it will fit ALL is false. They should state One Size fits MOST or put restrictions on who it will fit. They did none of that and falsely promoted it to fit EVERYONE. They will not resolve this.
