Cochran oil is fraudulent, corrupt, and preys upon the unsuspecting elderly. Not only do they not fully explain to elderly customers that the monthly budget amount they pay for heating oil will NOT cover the cost of their heating, but on March 13th they delivered 100 gallons of heating oil to *** ***** ***** ** *** * **** **** ********** ** ****** We had both called the week prior to confirm that she was taken off the automatic billing plan, and that NO MORE heating oil would be delivered. This was confirmed with multiple customer service representatives, and Cochran Oils internal system still shows a STOP on all heating oil deliveries. However, they still delivered 100 gallons of oil, and billed Ms. ***** $425. After multiple calls and complaints, they refuse to remove the erroneous charges, and they want to charge an ADDITIONAL $675 to remove the unwanted oil. This is the main complaint. $425 for the 100 gallons of oil should be removed immediately from Ms. ****** account. Cochran oil should also remove the oil free of charge immediately.Initial Complaint

Cochran Oil & Propane installed and serviced LP Gas tanks at the homes in the Officer's Row and Canal District being developed by Rockwell Custom Homes until the conversion from LP to natural gas lines could be completed. Once the conversions began, Cochran began removing tanks. We had been told by Cochran that we would be reimbursed for the LP Gas remaining in the tanks. However, after Cochran began removing tanks, we were told by Cochran that reimbursement would be offset by tank removal fees. We contend that the agreement for the tank installation was made between Cochran and Rockwell (see example attached), that we should therefor not be responsible for removal fees, and that we are owed the refund for the gas remaining in our tanks. We have sent individual and collective letters to Cochran (examples attached), but have not received replies in any form. We have also informed Rockwell of our position (see attachment); however, it is Cochran who is withholding our reimbursement.Initial Complaint

Called 9/22/22 to have 2propane tanks removed from our address (new heat pump and AC installed on 9/21/22). Tanks were removed on 9/24/22. Called on 9/26/22 to find out when they were going to reimburse me for the propane in both tanks and how much. Come to find out that they charge $300 to remove the tanks. I was told that it was in my contract that I signed. NEVER signed any contract and always paid my bill ASAP. I thought I was going to get a check for $385 not $85 because I did not sign a contract with Cochran Oil. Called again on 10/4/22 spoke with ***** said she was crediting my Visa for $85 (was not happy about this since we are Senior Citizens living in a fixed income). As of this date 10/18/22 I have not gotten anything from Cochran Oil . I received my VISA statement today and no credits from Cochran Oil. Very.bad business. Thanks for your help.
