My husband and I were deceived into paying much more money than the market rate for motel accommodations through the Avenue Inn and Spa behind a noisy bar, and we would never want to book a room at a noisy motel for a vacation. My husband and I booked a room at the Avenue Inn and Spa at 33 Wilmington Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 USA for August 30-31, 2024, for $508.49 per night, for two nights and a total of $1016.98. The transaction was through Hotesl.com. When we checked in at 33 Wilmington Avenue, we were informed that we were actually staying at 43 Willmington Avenue, "The Avenue II", a motel behind a noisy bar, The Purple Parrot. We were informed that the hotel had sent as an email notification among their many emails, indicating the room where we were being placed was in a different building AFTER we booked and made the first payment for the room. We were never given the address of this building in their communications. We never confirmed receipt of these emails or sent any indication that we agreed to the alternate, lesser quality location.
