Date: 8/24/22 Amount: $120.45 We rented a golf cart yesterday and had a wonderful experience, so we went back today. Today, we had to switch golf carts once before even leaving the shop, because two seatbelts were broken. The replacement still had two broken seatbelts with one tied onto the buckle, but we just went with it. We drove from the rental shop to Coquina Beach, where the cart broke down. We called the phone number on the side of the golf cart for several minutes before texting, per the automated message at the number. We texted the shop multiple times and finally found our own ride to return the key after 10 minutes. When we got back to the shop, ********* let us know that they don't offer refunds, even in situations of equipment failure. He also told us he wasn't responsible, because we called the wrong number - although he confirmed this was the number provided on the side of the golf cart, and we weren't given an alternate number at time of rental. I advised ********* that we would have to cancel the credit card transaction, to which he responded that the shop "has us on camera" and would take action to secure payment regardless. Had we been issued a refund, I would consider this bad luck. Instead, we were left stranded in a dangerous situation on a busy roadside with our 7 year old, had to find our own way back, and were then told the business is not accountable because they provided us with the wrong phone number. Number on the side of the golf cart that we called: ************. The voice mail message does confirm this is a number for Robinhood Rentals. I'm seeking a full refund from the business.
