Unfortunately American Home Shield (AHS) uses the cheapest, least skilled, bottom of the barrel contractors and AZ is one of them. They were sent to my house to detect a leak. Before they left they told the tenant that they needed to come back with "a special leak detection tool", but that never happened. They then told AHS there was a leak "in the slab", but in the exact same sentence they suggested that leak detection be done. So which is it, do we need to detect the leak of is there a leak in the slab? Even is you have AHS please request a different contractor.

I have First American Home warrant on my property. I made a service call because there was no hot water in the shower. First ******** assigned AZ Plumbing to the job. The contactor came to the apartment and said the hot water heater needs to be replaced. First American approved the replacement but AZ was charging an out of pocket cost of $350. They require payment up front. I made the payment and waited about two weeks for the new heater to arrive. The contractor installed the new heater but there was still no hot water in the shower. Then the contractor claimed there was crossed lines in the unit. First American then sent another contactor to the unit for a second opinion. The second contract said the water heater installed was not the right size. AZ claims that they installed the same size that was there before. They refused to go back to resolve original issue. First American does not cover upgrade and installing a bigger water heater would be considered an upgrade. So instead of AZ advising this from the beginning. They charged $350 but did not fix issue. I also believe they installed the wrong size since the previous water heater worked fine. I did not have the model number of my old water heater so I cannot prove they installed the wrong size. But I had to pay another contractor to replace the water heater and AZ did not issue a refund claiming they replace the heater. Even thought it did not resolve my issue of no hot water in the shower.

Scheduled an appt thru my home warranty service. Appt was made for 1-23-24 (7 am - 11 am), no show, no call. Called the company, no answer, left message, no return call. I was called on 1-25-24 4:41 pm by the company and was told I would have to pay the service charge before they would show. I payed the service charge and contacted warranty serv. and an appt was rescheduled for 1-29-24 (11 am-3pm), no show no call. Called the plumbing company on 1-30-24 (10:41 am) was told they would get with a technician and call me back, no call back and no show. I would not recommend this company if it was the last plumbing company on the earth. I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS LOUSY COMPANY!!!!

service contractor with american home shield warranty. They told me the faucet valve would be covered under my plan but then when back to the warranty company and said it was abnormal wear and tear.....really? Charge me $100 to come out, turn the water on and off (didn't even remove a s**** or faucet) and badmouth the warranty company and tell me that another warranty company is better (which they aren't because that company doesn't cover valves). Just a shady company and shady practice.

Plumber shows up to replace 2 leaking faucets. Unscrews valve stem in wet bar and bathtub to get proper parts. Orders replacement parts directly from ****** using my name and has them sent to my house. Schedule appointment for his return with a 4 hour window. An hour after the window, I call and they state "oh, he will be there in the next 2 hours". Complete no-show with NO COMMUNICATION. Finally returns to complete repair and wet bar goes smoothly. However, when he tries to remove the valve stem he tightened 2 weeks earlier on the tub, he could not remove it. Tells me he is concerned about breaking some piping down below the tub deck and then proceeds to break the copper pipes below the tub deck trying to unscrew the valve. Tells me I HAVE (PAY SOMEONE) TO PROVIDE ACCESS EVEN THOUGH HE BROKE IT because AHS will not provide access. OMG He should have asked for access BEFORE breaking piping so he could properly grab from below. I provided access and sent pictures of the parts required to 2 different phone numbers. They schedule a return appointment and again it is a no show/no call. Reschedule and the plumber shows up ASKING ME where the replacement parts are that he broke. Absolutely ridiculous. Then proceeds to tell me the only way to repair it is to replace entire faucet, which is discontinued, and any new replacement would not match the rest of the house even though ****** makes a replacement part. AHS offers me a "cash in leu of" for $130.00. This was to not only replace the faucet but hire a plumber to complete the repair. Clearly their 'equivalent replacement' was not going to going to be made of brass or anywhere near the $1000 the original cost, and there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ORIGINAL FAUCET. They absolutely refused to come and repair the broken piping insisting only replacement possible. No acceptance of responsibility and AHS certainly does not help. I ended up repairing the piping myself (I AM NOT A PLUMBER). Original claim was 6/26/23.

Terrible, Terrible, terrible. I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced. The tech showed up and said it would take 4 days to order it. What plumber does not have disposals readily available? Was notified the disposal had been received. Another appointment was made for several days later. At 10:15 I was notified the tech was on his way. At 11:30 I sent a text message inquiring if there was a problem. No reply. At 12:30 I called and was told I was next on the list. At 4:00 I called and was told the tech was no longer in the area and would have to reschedule for the next week. Called American Home Shield and they assigned my case to Northeast ** Contractors. They were able to make a same day appointment, arrived on time and had everything he needed to complete the job.

We were assign** this team through our home warranty contract. *****, the technician on the initial call, was thorough and professional but he had to order a part and come back. Since then, however, every single encounter has been inconsistent at best and a crap-house mess at worst. They never call** On 6/22, they call** to say our service tech was knocking on my front door - they were not, as I was working on my porch and no one at all show** up. They also NEV** CALLED TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT on that day. I resch**ul** for 6/23, then we got a call saying the tech was injur** and ne** ** the ** and they resch**ul** for today, June 27, between 1 and 6pm. It's now 6:30 and no call, no show. If none stars was an option, I'd give them that. This company is garbage.

After 2 past contractors not doing its job with fixing shower faucet. It was blessing that AZ remodeling/plumbing, Richard, came out to look at it and listened to us on the exact issue and fixed it. We will use him for future house issues.

I am writing this review to inform other potential customers of how I have been treated in trying resolve my plumbing problems. I had put my request for service with American Home Shield which then forwarded my service required to a local plumber. We were contacted by AZ REMODELING & PLUMBING INC-WEST PALM BEACH, FL and got our initial appointment for a couple days later. The day of the appointment we were told from 10am to 3pm would be the timeframe is when they show up. I waited until 3pm and no one showed up so I waited about a hour later and called the contractor to find out what is the deal? I got a "Oh yeah I guess we should have called you and let you know what happened"
I was told the plumber that was scheduled for my job was in accident.I asked if he was ok and told that he was fine. So I asked why I was not called ? No real straight answer was given. I wanted to know when they are rescheduling my appointment which was set up for the 3rd of December. The plumber came and was able to fix one of my two existing plumbing problems. This was on a Friday and he assured me that he is ordering the parts and will be back late afternoon on Monday the 6th of December to fix my shower.

So I am headed home from work so that I can meet the plumber to get my shower fixed. I get texted from the contractor dispatcher that my appointment that was for late Monday afternoon was rescheduled for the 14th December. I texted them the promise their plumber made and it has fallen on death ears.

My assessment of this situation is that I have had to take 3 days off from work to get my plumbing problems fixed. They seem to forget that other people hold jobs and I am out of 3 days of work while waiting around to get my problems fixed. And because they have rescheduled it will be 4 days now. The plumber that I had a visit from was professional, and customer service orientated individual. However, the scheduling and dispatching from this contractor is the issue when you are dealing with the contractor. No emphasis on communicating with the customer and just scheduling appointments without talking with the customers. The comment that I got when I was on the phone with the dispatcher was that I was way out in rural part of our county and the company was based in the southern part of the county. Like it was a problem for them. I thought to myself then why the **** accept the service request from American Home Shield.

I write this review so that my fellow consumers to be aware so that they understand that customer service doesn't exist when dealing with AHS and this local contractor. I am being held hostage until the pluming contractor feels like they will send somebody to my home which is in a rural part of our county. Very disappointing about this whole issue in how I have been treated by both parties. I am going on three weeks with my problem not being fixed.

A very frustrated customer of American Home Shield
