      Good Afternoon,

       

      Thank you for making us aware of this filing.  It is our mission to ensure that all of our patients are served and cared for with the highest quality service and integrity in all of my offices.  With all due respect, this complaint that has been filed "against" my company Hear Again America, is misguided, as the complainant (***********************) complaint is actually directed to her insurance company and being handled by ****************, their servicer.  We were alerted to an issue regarding her purchase of hearing aids and that she was owed money in return from an insurance benefit that she has, and therefore have nothing to do with the ******* of this complaint.  I was personally contacted by the servicer (****************) to reverse the sale of *********************** hearing aids, and re-purchase them through the **************** Network (not directly from the Hearing Aid Manufacturer), so that they could process the sale and compensate ******************* the amount allowable through her hearing aid benefit.  As of the time of this letter's composition, My office has reversed the sale and is working with ********************** to ensure that ******************* is made whole through the benefit that they are responsible to provide her. I want to reiterate, Hear Again America, is neither complicit, nor at fault for the issues that are being experienced with her hearing aid benefit provider ****************, and I would like for the complaint to be removed from my company's history and directed to the responsible party.  Her complaint itself identifies them as the offender in this case, as the company that has not issued her payment.  We have serviced ******************* and are doing everything in our power to ensure that she receives the service that she has entrusted us to provide.  The impact of this situation has also negatively affected Hear Again America financially due to the returned hearing aids, and the requirement for *************** to be the organization receiving the "sale/ purchase" price of the same hearing aids through their network.  My company has cared for ******************* for a number of years (this is not the first set of hearing aids purchased in my office by her), and due to the nature of the "new" transaction through the insurance network, she is no longer "our patient" we are merely contracted to provide service and are compensated ONLY with a fitting fee for the devices, not the purchase of the hearing aids.
