              I was gifted a new Travelpro bag several years ago. The handle quickly stopped retracting properly despite only normal use. I tried to submit a warranty claim recently and I was told that they would not help because they no longer have the parts, despite having been promised a "lifetime" warranty against manufacturer's defects. They offered me only a discount on a new bag.

              After reading these reviews I feel less alone.Two of the wheels on my Maxlite 5 25" fell apart after less than a year. Multiple phone calls (and hold time) and emails later, and many many photos sent, they sent me replacement wheels for a $25 "handling fee."The wheels didn't fit (obviously for the wrong luggage) so I sent more photos and measurements. Today I received an email saying they were for the "updated" style and they didn't have the wheels I needed.But if I send them $50 for another "handling fee" they will send me a new suitcase. Style and color not guaranteed.This has taken weeks of back and forth, and this is the best they can do? No wonder our landfill are overflowing with junk.I am debating just going with another brand.
